Bengals Chris Henry in Serious after Domestic Dispute

Bengals WR Chris Henry suffered what the team called "very serious" injuries in a car accident in Charlotte today that stemmed, police said, from a domestic dispute.

Police told the Kentucky Post that Henry fell out of the back of the bed of a truck driven by his fiancee. They told the paper that Henry had jumped into the truck as it was driven away by his fiancee.

The Charlotte Observer reported that Henry's fiancee, who has not yet been named, attempted to drive away from him following a "domestic situation," according to police.

Police told the paper Henry's injuries were life-threatening.

Henry, 26, went on injured reserve on Nov. 9 after suffering a broken left arm.

(CNN) -- Cincinnati Bengals football player Chris Henry died after a fall from the bed of a pickup during a fight with his fiancée, police said Thursday.

"Chris Henry died as a result of his injuries sustained during this incident," a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police news release said. "Department detectives continue to work diligently on this active investigation."

That's 3 straight seasons now where an NFL player has died tragically. Sean Taylor, Steve McNair and now Henry. These men have got to be more cognizant of the pitfalls that can happen and take care. What good is all that they've accomplished if they don't live long enough to enjoy it?

I'm still trying to piece together what happened. Did she realize the man was standing in back of the truck? I read that a witness overheard Henry saying he was gonna jump out and kill hiimself if she didn't come back. Would be nice to get the whole story instead of bit's, pieces and hearsay.
