Ben Affleck IS New 'Batman' in MAN OF STEEL Sequel

Look it up . not even close to a third and you'll get a few posts by replying.. that's commonsense

These niggas :angry::lol:

lol i wasnt bein exact, its called an exaggeration
the point is u in here goin back an forth like anybody else in this thread

an it seems like u've given up on tryin to convince us that affleck is an incredible actor so now ur just takin cheap shots
kinda weird but whatever works for ya

I know you weren't being "literal"

I never said he was "incredible"

I'm not acting like Ben is Denzel or brando.. or day lewis etc

I originally thought they would have went with someone less famous..because the judgement on the role would be so harsh...compared to their old characters

but since they picked ben...I'm saying wait and see... it's not impossible that he can pull it off ..especially being Bruce Wayne himself. obviously batman will be a bigger part ,but he can do that.. and he has the physical to do it.. you seen the post in the last page... and shown him from the town doing the pullups..he's not a slouch he has the body or can get it for the role and he will get fighting training .. He can pull off the role

Talking cheap shots ? you said I might be on some "bullshit"...that's directly at me ,but I didn't initially say anything directly to you:yes:

Really though...

This casting has nothing to do with the right person to play Batman but the directors decision to add star power to the cast. Lets keep it funky the writing and directing will determine if this movie is good or not. Because what is been really going to add to the role off Batman - hopefully Ben is cast for his added writing and directing expertise and star power. Otherwise they could have cast anyone else. John Hamm from mad men should be cast as Batman IMO. Ben had his shot at the super hero role and I hate when they reuse actors for other hero roles that have already played other superheroes. Johnny Storm/Captain America, Deadpool/Green Lantern, now Daredevil/Batman. Give someone else a damn shot. As big as Hollywood is I get tired of seeing the same faces on screen all the time.

dude was boring as fuck in the town....didn't have big screen presence imo...can't remember him really in any other flick...too much of a risk...I don't think he could pull it off...just like when they had his tv wife/ex play emma frost...she fucked that up bad

All bull shit aside.... Batman stories are ALL about the VILLAINS.

IF they get a cast a GREAT actor playing the RIGHT villain. This could be a hit

the thing is u an most of yall arent really usin logic to make ur arguments

2 things that kinda undermine the points yall tryin to make

damn near all the actors yall mentioned are better then ben, new cats, old heads, dont matter, they all better than ben

an it aint fare to compare the new cats with little to no tv an movies out to base a judgement on to somebody with tons of flick like ben
ya cant know how bad somebody really is til they show ya
ben shoulda just finished daredevil 3 an be in talks where they gonna merge his shit with the avengers
hows that workin out

to be fare the writers and directors ruined the clooney and bale flicks and like ya said it rare when its a case of just shitty acting
this could be one of those cases
but more than likely it'll be the writers and directors who make ben look like an ass

OK lets see the logic here...

Ben Affleck being a BAD actor, that is your OPINION this isn't a fact.

I HATED on that dude for Daredevil (one of my favorites) saw the directors cut and he was improved but still...

Again his PEERS do not think he is a bad actor and based on MANY of his performances he is actually a good actor.

The common theme with his career is that he wasn't discerning with his choices (which as you can see Damon IS but NOBODY is perfect)

also Affleck has made the WB a TON of money and prestige.

So this is all about relationships.

I'm gonna say this now...he will be fine...guaranteed.

How will I be able to prove this?

Superman Vs. Batman will do Avengers numbers.

period.

Critics will love it...and not the "it was really OK" that Superman got either.

Because like I said before...ALL this TALK?...will only help.

And really its the ONLY way to judge now...because there are people who will applaud Heath's Joker as the GREATEST performance of all time...

but remember they said the SAME thing about Jack's Joker decade earlier.

Because now EVERYTHING has the either the BEST or the WORST.

We have to list and rank EVERYTHING...we can just let shit play out and THEN have a individual opinion (not wait to see what OTHER people say first))

I respect your opinion though fam :D I'm just saying not everyone thinks Idiris is a great actor and they would have used the SAME argument for him to NOT play Bond.

I don't see what the big deal is. Christian Bale was a good fit for the recent trilogy that was loosly based on Frank Miller's "Return of the Dark Night" story line. The new movie is not as dark so you need new face for the new storyline. Look.. If Christian Bale is a good batman but was god awful in "Terminator Salvation" why wouldn't it be possible for Ben Affleck to go from being a terrible Daredevil to a great Batman. I liked Ben Affleck in "The Town"

makes perfect sense to me...this is some damn good reasoning

He's no more boring than Ben to me. He can do no worse than Ben. His on screen presences on The Town was limited so I give him the benefit of the doubt the story focused more on Ben than anyone else. The fact he hasn't been in any other big role is exactly why he would be hungry to deliver a better performance this role as Batman. How big of a risk are they taking really? No one will let him fail in a part like this too much invested.

Anything is possible but why give a dude more chances to fuck up instead of trying a fresh face? Dude has already an established successful career give someone else a shot.

he gon knock that shit out the park.

typical bgol response to movie casting...everybody will chime in on how the "other" actor would've been better and the movies gonna sucke...photos will get posted after production and the jokes begin...then the first trailer hits and everybody all like "I'm there on OPENING NIGHT!"

But this isn't a Batman movie we're talking about. It's a Superman/Batman film. Possibly with some Justice league elements in it. I know ya'll niggas wish Christian Bale was Batman noww! Ahhh Haaaah:lol:

Im shocked at the reaction the choice created.

I promise you that the movie wont succeed or fail based on his acting.

Superhero movies are always about the plot and the villain.

The big news from this flick should be what villain will they use.

The success of the flick will be based the creation of a new Batman and how well they incorporate him in Man of Steel's world.

And yes, if I had my pick, it wouldnt have been Ben.

Man of Steel’s Cavill is “More Than Excited” for Ben Affleck as Batman

By: Russ Burlingame on August 24, 2013

Speaking with BBC presenter Kevin Pamplin at the Jersey Rugby Club in the U.K., Man of Steel star Henry Cavill reportedly said that he is “more than excited” to work with Ben Affleck, who was announced earlier this week as the new Batman.

The actor, who hails from the U.K. originally, is back home before launching into Man From U.N.C.L.E. and Batman vs. Superman. Pamplin later said that he and Cavill have had a “proper catch-up,” and that he will bring more quotes from their conversation about Man of Steel, Affleck and Batman soon.

It will work.
But I want the people to keep it up with their anger. This will only light a fire under Affleck's ass along with Nolan and Snyder.

After the previous Batfilms, there's still more about Batman that hasn't been explored.

if affleck can do the voice better than bale an participate in a half-way decent fight scene then fuck it i'm in
i just dont see that happenin

Yup.
http://www.inquisitr.com/920284/bryan-cranston-lex-luthor-man-of-steel-2/

In the middle of the hoopla surrounding Ben Affleck and Batman, it would appear that Bryan Cranston has accepted the role of Lex Luthor in Man of Steel 2.

The Breaking Bad star’s involvement with the picture should come as no surprise to those who have been following the project since its announcement. The actor was asked about the sequel last week, though he refrained from spilling any beans on the subject.

Of course, no one from Warner Bros. or Bryan Cranston’s camp has confirmed the news about his casting as Lex Luthor just yet. According to Zap2It, there’s a chance the announcement won’t arrive until the Breaking Bad series finale rolls around. In other words, you may have to wait until the end of September for confirmation.

If news of Cranston’s involvement with the Man of Steel sequel turn out to be true, then the actor could play the villain in approximately six films. The folks at Cosmic Book News seem to think this number might be as high as ten. That’s definitely a lot of Luthor in our collective future.

“Cranston truly is a dream casting for Luthor,” an anonymous source told the site.

Another intense actor who was reportedly in the running for the villainous role was Green Lantern star Mark Strong. However, it’s possible that his turn as Sinestro ultimately worked against him. Insiders believe there’s a chance that Strong might return as the evil alien at some point in the future.

Bryan Cranston’s involvement with Superman vs. Batman has been overshadowed by Ben Affleck’s casting in the film. Although fans have been livid about the actor’s role in the project, Man of Steel star Henry Cavill is apparently thrilled to work with the guy.

“Henry Cavill seen here tells me that he is ‘more than excited’ working with Ben Affleck the new Batman,” BBC presenter Kevin Pamplin recently shared on Twitter.

Do you believe that Bryan Cranston is the right person to tackle the role of Lex Luthor in the upcoming Man of Steel sequel? Who would you like to see play the villain?

This is who they should have picked. He would have knocked it out the box office. All you tweet boy'z, hash tag that and see if it gets any wings.

As long as the materials good i dont have a problem with ben. All three Bale batman movies were damn near classics and he was ok as bruce wayne, and HORRIBLE as batman. His batman voice at best was distracting and at worse downright comical. I got faith in afflect, daredevil had a lot of problems, none of which was his performance

he just happy that batman isnt going to outshine him lol

2013 Ben Affleck can definitely pull this off. He's not the same dude he was 10 years ago. After watching what he's done in his last few movies I don't doubt he can make it happen providing the script is up to par.

Dude can pull of the serious, grim Bats persona (see The Town) as well as the hammy, glad-handing Bruce disguise (see every movie he made before 2006).

The article Lord T posted above makes a strong case. An unknown may have been a better choice but if they're going to go "established actor" Ben seems like a good fit on paper.
