Man if the only example you cats can pull out your ass is Ledger-whose portrayal was grossly overrated and romanticized because of is death and OD- then you are proving the point. This casting announcement fucking sucks. And yes, Affleck is a bad actor. His resume speaks for itself. One Argo doesnt erase the numerous turds on his record. And as decent as The Town was, his acting was mediocre at best. How does a Boston kid have a terribly

Ledger's performance was nowhere near overrated. Dude OWNED that movie and created a once in a lifetime character but I agree that there are other examples out there. Once the first trailer drops, then we can condemn or praise.
This could be really good or REEEEALLY BAD! It all depends on if WB lets Nolan, Snyder, Goyer, Affleck do their thing.

My only issue with Hollywood is that they constantly recycle the same actors. I enjoy watching movies with a relatively unknown cast.... with that being said I don't give a fuck what some say but Ben will stink the movie up playing batman.

People slept on Ledger. They didn't know that he did a number of films where he worked himself into a fantastic character actor. So him playing the Joker wasn't a stretch for him.
Affleck playing someone as complex as Bruce Wayne. Big question mark. I know Ben is a good actor when it comes to drama. But something as complex As this.

I dont think people trashed the casting decision as much as they did the movie itself. And they were right to have suspicion after that Superman Returns debacle. This is different in that we are commenting on casting a proven poor actor who has not only layed numerous eggs, but has already ruined a super hero franchise and at age 43 has NEVER proven to be a box office draw for his acting and has never pulled of a action star role. Hugh Jackman was ALL WRONG for Wolverine, Heath Ledger, Christian Bale as Batman, The last Superman flic, the fuckin Avengers, THor, Bruce Banner....EVERY FUCKIN MOVIE man. Same shit on here. THen first trailer drops and everybody on here circle jerkin each other. I wish I could remember all them alternate actors everybody was postin for Iron Man. It's like fuckin clockwork.
That's the thing that has me scratching my head. Why even cast a big name if he's gonna have the mask on 75% of the time and be involved in a lot of action? This makes me think they are going more for an Iron Man/Robert Downey Jr. mask off too d@mn much approach.
Downey can pull that off since he's a more dynamic actor and Iron Man is a less serious character. Batman is supposed to be weathered, brooding and kinda gruff. That's cool with a mask, without it it's too many Bruce Wayne scenes. You don't go to a Batman movie for the Bruce Wayne scenes.

Might as well be. Ben is just as corny as Lorenzo's movies. That fool looks regular as hell he doesn't even look dangerous or like he ever lifted a weight or got into a fist fight. I bet this casting was done purposely because of Ben's noodle frame to make superman look more masculine over batman. Why else would they shell out mega loot for this regular ass white boy when they could have likely paid Scott Atkins much less for the same shit or better performance as Batman and Scott would look more like a Batman than Ben would.Similar threads
