Bellator fights on NOW

I've tried to get into Bellator, but just haven't really gotten into watching their cards. I'll watch tonight to see the Bader/Fedor fight.

I'm also trying to get into Bellator but these back stories are long and boring as hell between fights. They need more fights qued up and ready to go. Its too long between fights to keep my attention. IJS!

Yeah - what I usually do for their cards is give them a 1 hour head start. Have the DVR recording & then join it in progress and skip all the ads along the way from jump. Paramount (formerly Spike network) is notorious for running the same ads over and over. Cops, Bar Rescue, etc. Same shit. Combined with the back story segments ... it can run too long. Skipping all the ads and just watching the fights helps.

Bellator is like 3 mins fighting 1 hour talking and 1 hour of commercials... what is this shit?

I guess since I don't really watch Bellator a lot, I never noticed how much time there is between fights. It is ridiculous!! The UFC keeps the fights rolling right along.

Props to Bader. He has really upped his pro career and status since heading over to Bellator. Always had a tough time in the UFC in that he was a good fighter, but couldn't get past the likes of Jones, Johnson, Machida, Teixeira, the fluke loss to Tito Ortiz in an upset, etc. Slipped up when facing the elite. He has now (since joining Bellator in recent years) collected some belts, taken far less damage, gotten good paychecks like fellow UFC guys who have gone over there (and sponsorship money), gotten some quick victories (King Mo, Fedor, etc) and actually put on some exciting fights here and there along the way ... after long being known as a boring wrestler. He still falls back on that skill set when needed, but props to that guy.

I didn't realize Bader was the LH Champ too. Good for him.

Yeah - it's really interesting to see him hit these career peaks in his mid-30s. Won TUF way back in the day ... was always a good fighter in the UFC. One could say a B fighter ... just a step or two behind the elite. Cool to see him max out his career in the latter stages. He wouldn't have these highlights had he stayed in the UFC. The TUF season finale win was just over 10 years ago (Dec. 2008).
