I wonder how some of the older subway stations in LIC and Harlem will look like tomorrow...especially if there's more rain on the way.
 

:rolleyes::rolleyes: sunday was still a false alarm..plus didn't kno bout the full moon/high tide shit for monday..plus da triple storm combo...it still didn't rain heavy and them winds still ain't clocking od levels..overall impressed dat dis shit actually did something dis time around but it took multiple things for it to be as serious as it is

I agree that they shut down a little early but it was a correct call to shut down stuff on Monday.

Estimates now have over 3 million people w/o power.

Power out + backup generators have failed tonight at NYU Hospital, one of NYC's largest. Patients/staff being evacuated.

Damn, these photos and video clips are devastating and unbelievable. This is when you hope the photos have been Photoshopped. To my dismay, I believe that they are all legitimate. :sad:

Tuesday, 12:30 am: Hurricane Sandy has been downgraded to a "post-tropical storm" and is stalling west of Philadelphia. Even though the core of the store is in Pennsylvania, winds are stronger further from the center, peaking around Long Island and Connecticut over 80 mph. The storm will now move north through Pennsylvania and into western New York. Winds from Sandy will reach all the way to Chicago and into Canada.
