Tell me what game drastically changes their gameplay from sequel to sequel? No need to even expect them fucking up a formula that works. They're just going to add more shit to the same formula like always.

Bioshock Infinite changed a great deal from the first two games. Resident Evil is no longer focusing on zombies in a vacant mansion or tight spaces. Infamous 2nd Son is breaking the mold of the first two games. These are the only three games/series that come to mind at this time.

Change is necessary at a certain point. The last three games were almost identical in game play. I expected the 2nd to be the same/similar as the first, but I expected them to do something different with the third. The game play was stale. Since this is being developed for next gen, it is definitely time to do something different; adding the Batmobile to the mix is a start.

Well the game is called Arkham Origins bruh so it would be kind of silly to have Batman doing shit in year one that he couldn't do as a battle hardened vet.

Hmmmmm, when you put it that way....

I still think there was room to change up the game play though.

In fairness the Montreal studio was tossed the game. It was formulaic in the sense that all the battles were based off the previous two games.

The first game you really felt like batman.

The second game was a more open world.

Origins was the same exact gameplay as the first, plus the open world (fairly open world) of the second. So it didn't feel new in any term outside of storyline.

You see how the new on is going to have a new bat mobile you'll actually be able to control? So they've added something fresh.

I think that's the issue with origins for people. It didn't add nothing fresh as far as gameplay.

Thank you! Origins didn't add anything new worth playing, right down to the Riddler and gliding challenges

I'm not sure I like the idea of Rocksteady inventing a villain. Specially as the main villain.

Why not use one of the existing villains that have never made it to screen and can matchup with Batman?

Like Owlman or Prometheus...

all cg ....i was hoping to see some in game

E3 2014 will be their stage to show gameplay footage.

Yeah when I seen that trailer I was like that all CGI, let me know what in game footage looks like. Hopefully there will be some in game footage at E3 14.

To be honest and this goes for both consoles, I have not been impressed with any game graphically. I mean its ok but nothing that has made my jaw drop. Maybe in the coming year or two we will see some amazing graphics on these consoles.

You didn't have a problem with Rocksteady writing the storylines for the last two games, did you? Those guys created an Arkham Universe that is completely separate from the comic series and it worked well for them. I trust them to not fuck this up. Plus they are proven and true Batman fanboys.
