Maybe people just think you and your thoughts aren't strong enough. Make posts you wanted taken seriously in the areas of the board that focus on the topic at hand. If that's difficult then maybe the problem is you.
The first page of the sports board has posts going back to early February on the first page, most of those with low single digit posts counts.
It's easy to try to deflect and make this about me but I bet you the last 30 threads I've started generally have more views and responses than those on the sports board. I just made a thread about the Atlanta Hawks offseason. If people don't like it, it will probably receive little response. No big deal-- happens all the time. If somebody wants to talk shit, that's fine, too. But straight jacking the thread with dozens of unrelated gifs or pics should not be acceptable IMO. And it would be a waste of time to post that or almost any topic to the sports board.
If you think those other forums are viable alternatives and BGOL is well-moderated, I think you have very low standards.
