It's cool to make a post or two that stretches a topic or is even off topic but this kind of shit is ridiculous.

This asshole cokely has done that to me before. A dozen nonsense posts like that can just ruin a thread. I've seen others do the same with porn/models. We all love that but it should be in its own thread, not a weapon to drown out a topic or opinion somebody doesn't like.

Wow, this thread turned into exhibit A on why this board isn't shit in a way... How many mods are there and how much actually gets done?

What's the point in even having threads on specific topics when they can just be cluttered and ruined with useless spam that was only intended to clutter and ruin the thread? It makes me less likely to bother with discussion here, which makes it less likely I'll put another $15 into this in a half a year.

I just spent 30 minutes making that "Greatest NBA player never to make an All-Star team" thread. If any person on the board can just shit on it with a bunch of unrelated ass shaking gifs (also making an already slow running board move slower when I go to load the thread), why should I ever bother putting any effort into starting a conversation here?

That's called attention whoring - hold on - not posting the thread - BUT - the thought that you think you're killing us with your scary awesome post. Why put it on the main board or put it on BGOL at all? ESPN, Yahoo, MSNBC, your local newstation, Black America Web dotcom, etc all have tightly regulated sports-specific forums like you're suggesting. How about you stop derailing the main board and go post in the sports forum where you will get your props? The players in the vids you posted won't get the props tho because that would be derailing your awesome thread. I could see a teacher getting mad that he spent all night creating a lesson plan but this mofo called out cats for posting ass on BGOL.

You may be right that BGOL isn't the best forum to go to anymore.

I don't go to any other forums-- I like it all in one spot. A little moderation could get BGOL in that slot.

I wasn't "derailing" the main board at all. The sub-forums, for the most part, just take up space. There has been more sports conversation on the BGOL main board in the last year than there has ever been on the sports board. BGOL used to be more than a porn board.

Saying I shouldn't have brought that thread to BGOL says more about BGOL's decline than me or that thread. I probably shouldn't come here for certain things that I used to.

That's the problem. You don't talk to cats on here. You talk at them. The majority of cats automatically skip over certain people or just skim and respond to the first post they like - that's documented - that's what I'm doing right now. Your thread is intact unless somebody just feels like buggin out with Cokely or whoever. I personally click on certain topics knowing certain mofos are in there clowning. Some nights I need to see some funny shit.

It's a good thread. Probably will do 20 and get brought back every couple of years. You fucked up by letting us know what you were thinking. Put in the work. Continue posting. Post the shit and let it flow. Don't ever tell cats how to post tho'. It's frustrating, but until you start giving out BGOL scholarships you can't control the trolls.
If this was a Sport Bar and somebody trolled you, he'd probably get stomped out because it's harder to block out, but this ain't a bar. Let me reiterate, most cats mentally block out most cats and don't even see their posts.

I guarantee no one will be looking for it when the season starts. But if he put one hot chick in there somebody may search for that thread. Where do people think they are?
