Baked Cod with Lemon and Garlic

Ingredients:
4 cod fillets (6 oz each)
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 lemon, zested and juiced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional, for color and flavor)
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Lemon slices, for serving

Instructions:
Preheat the Oven
Set the oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
Make the Marinade
In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and paprika until combined.
Season the Cod
Place the cod fillets in the baking dish. Spoon the lemon garlic mixture evenly over the fillets, coating each piece.
Bake the Cod
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time may vary based on thickness.
Garnish and Serve
Take out of the oven, top with chopped parsley and add lemon slices. Serve right away with your favorite sides.
