Aww shit.Jerry Jones: I'd consider trading our 2016 first-rounder

have yall forgotten that AD is an athletic freak who got an entire year off

the best rb in the game by a mile and unlike demarco he isnt going to fumble your super bowl away

i digress

you have nobody on that roster than can wear defenses out

if you get All Day you have a top 10 qb..the best receiver in the game, the best rb in the game, and the best oline

just for a late 1st rounder

are yall insane? youre in the position to win the superbowl now...this is no longer drafting for the future for certain positions..NE doesnt, the broncos doesnt, etc.

i dont even want to debate this anymore lol

And if AD gets hurt or isn't quite the RB he was a year ago, you're on the hook for 12-15 mill a year and hamstrung by the salary cap. Right back where you were before. It's not the pick that bothers me. I wouldn't pay that much for any running back in this man's NFL.

anyone could get hurt at any given time

if romo goes down or isnt the qb he was last year...then what?

we do know that AD is a freak who heals quickly like no other human

besides contracts arent guaranteed in the nfl so your point is moot, bro

Cowgirl fans just know they going far this season. Cats saying they wont pick until 30 next year. Man i can wait til this shit implodes.

There still would be a small hit to cut him.

I'd rather trade a number two to the Jets for Wilkerson. He's young and if you add him to the other pieces we have on the D Line, it could be nasty.

Give me a dominant D Line to go with a dominant O Line...

The Wilkerson trade would be contingent on signing him long term.

Naw we didn't get fleeced. Cheap contract. Eddie was just done by the time we got him. He must've been around 29 or 30. The speed and athleticism was gone. I think CJ still got some of his but i'm not trying to find out. I'd rather go with what we have then him.

We don't need him anyway.
The fans feelings got fleeced. That nigga was averging 1/2 a yard per carry and shit.It wasn't a financial hit but it was a horrible signing.

If the cowgirls get AP its a wrap. Yall win the chip this year and gotta to be favorite for next year too. Its just a matter of avoiding injuries.

No he's not Rice had a bad year with our horrible line. Then he got suspended for the whole year but if you watched him in the preseason the game he got to play he looked fast and like his old self again. He bulked up after the super bowl and lost some speed and played behind our poor line. He's never been given a second chance. He's way better than da die and McFadden. He just has that big DV following him.

Man don't get duped by no preseason games. Ray Rice is done. Justin Forsett was the superior back.

AP may be a athletic freak but father time has taken down athletic freaks too.

I'm not saying I don't want him. I'm saying don't overtrade for him. Vikings are in no position to be asking for first rounders and shit for a player who doesn't want to play for him. If they don't want to trade him for a 2nd rounder than they can keep him.

See man how I remember it and I could be wrong I thought he was trash when we got him. That was how we got him I thought lol. I thought we got him because he was trash at that point.

Anything less than NFC championship would be a disappointment

I haven't thought the Cowboys would do much of anything going into a season for years now

This the first season I've been optimistic about in 5 years at least

its hard to market the guy to your fanbase when he doesnt want to be there

you cant sell his jerseys, you cant put him in local ads, etc.

at this point they have to trade him

This is the point I've been trying to tell everybody at my job.

A.P. doesn't like it up there, and Minnesota did not support him when he was dealing with all that shit last year. Why hold on to him?

Minnesota's not looking at this right.

I think they are they just being stubborn and not trying to fuck themselves. Everyone knows AP doesn't want to be there and that's hurt the Vikings trade value there so they are trying to salvage it by saying they not looking to trade him in hope a team will offer them some Hershel Walker shit i'm sure.

If them niggas with that shitty defense last year got to 12 wins......I agree that if they don't go to the NFC championship i'm gonna be disappointed. That's just where we at. That's not to be arrogant or nothing but they won 12 games last year and have essentially upgraded every position on the team as well as gain depth.

As much as I want dallas to get AD,without selling the farm, i think we could contend with maybe one or two good signings on defense before offense. AD would completely and utterly solidify a strong offense currently(on paper). A good playmaking Dt like wilkerson or FS/CB right now with current roster pending we get hardy's suspension reduced .

Honestly, I don't hold any expectations about next season at all.

I would say this, I love the moves that we have made already. Plus, I'm confident in saying that Philly will hate playing us this year.

I want them to punish Demarco for his lack of vision.

Completely agree. We dont need a bell cow RB , but AD would be a hell of a weapon and defenses would have to pick their poison

Exactly

We all watched the games last year

That defense wasn't shit and couldn't rush the passer

Secondary suspect in coverage as well

That should be improved and our offense will still put up points

Lineman will still control the line of scrimmage

I expect a good season

No arrogance at all just what it is

Of course anything can happen but when you can control the line of scrimmage, you win games.

Cowboys have the best O Line in the division and might have the best D Line. The have the best QB in the division, best TE in the division, best WR in the division (ODB still young).

I think they good at the DT spot if Crawford comes through. That 1 tech in Maranelli's defense.......they can essentially get by with what they have there. That 3 tech needs to be a pass rushing specialist like Jason Hatcher was. I think Crawford can be that. That youth and hunger they have is gonna go along ways for them.

I think they'll be fine at corner as well. Scandrick, Carr, Claiborne, Corey White, Patmon......Byron Jones.

Byron Jones is the interesting case. I think he's gonna get more burn at safety than he will at corner. He's probably 4th on the depth chart behind Scandrick, Carr and Claiborne who's in a contract year.

But at safety.......he can compete for a starting spot.

I can't wait for this season. I Think Philly is trash.....but with as unpredictable as the league is....I think Philly gonna contend for a playoff spot. I have nothing to base that on other than the league simply being full of parity and unpredictable.

Can't wait to see how good/or bad Demarco does in that offense. \\

Most definitely. AP would put us over the top for sure. My conflict with potentially getting him is that I don't think his trade value should be as high as a 1st rounder due to his age and him not wanting to play for Minnie. But I would not shed a tear if they did the move.

Right. I'd like to think if the defense can just show up and limit teams to under 24 we should be alright next season. Defense lacked a pass rush, decimated by injuries, secondary was showing its ass as a whole....Maranelli been fucking up his reputation having to coach this damn defense.

But they finally gave him some pieces. Gave him a elite pass rusher in Hardy, got him Gregory and Byron Jones.....a healthier Sean Lee and Rolando McClain though i'll hold my breath on Lee. A healthier Tyrone Crawford......defense went from a weakness to may be being a strength.

Naw I don't see it. Not this year. This is a contract year for Claiborne. The only way I see it is if he's hurt. Plus I think i'd rather have Claiborne be our #3 and Byron get out there and be our free safety.

It could happen though. I just seen how this league works....muthafuckas show up when its contract year time after years of being hurt and underperforming.

If you're looking at how the cowboys play defense, its pretty much a 4-2-5 set 65% of the time. Meaning, Jones would more than likely play the third safety/slot db position.

It would be:

carr
Claiborne
Scan
Jones
Wilcox
Church

In this set, Church or wilcox will be in the box, and Jones would cover the te/slot WR. Sometimes he will go back as a Safety like a robber type coverage.

He is pretty much our Polumalu

Ehh......it depends. I'd rather have Byron Jones out there guarding tight ends than Church. I like Church's game but I think he can sometimes get exploited in coverage.

/Yeah I think either way we're going to see 4 or 5 DB's on the field a lot this year. Especially in today's NFL. Plus with as injury prone as our DB's have been since.....forever.....Patmon shit might be getting major PT this year.

On the real, Cowboys need a backup QB. If Romo has to miss a couple games we already know Weedon ain't winning them.

Yeah I know they like Dustin Vaughn........I don't see anyone out there to be honest. Shit I don't know........that giraffe Mike Glennon is a possibility. I hear he wants out of Tampa Bay.

Yeah that motherfucka is TRASH!They couldn't bring Vince Young in???Hell with this line I'd bring in Jamarcus Russell.
