He didn't use stones on the hulk
He shot a fair one and made hulk go into hiding

He doesn't have anywhere near their training. per se. Of course, it's a comic movie so it's entirely possible he'll become a master hand-to-hand fighter literally overnight. But it's not just the situations Cap was in, it was his survivability that got him out of those situations. He was in them to do a job and the serum allowed him to do it. Well, as I say, it's a movie so I'm sure they'll figure something out.

Yea I see what you saying about training. I'm sure they will touch on all of this in the marvel plus series when it drops. He'll probably get training from shield.
 
Anyone here thought Captain Marvel might have stolen the show? she had less than 30 min screen time but a MAJOR saving (at the beginning) or major damage to Thanos forces towards the end....Without her, they would have struggled even more...

Sam with the shield is probably going to be for the Disney+ series, on the big screen he will pass it on to the new cap.

More like 10 minutes screen time but no, I didn't think she stole the show. It was Tony and Cap's movie from start to finish. She did have some good scenes tho. I liked her much better here than in Captain Marvel. And I definitely like the short hair better.
 
I know I'm late to the discussion but I wanted to chime in. I saw it Sunday and man.....this movie was EVERYTHING!!!!!
No other movie has given me the feeling on this level....the feeling I had reading Giant Size X-Men for the first time or Secret Wars.....the feeling when I was 10 and this world was the world I wanted to live in. I laughed and cried and jumped out of my seat in the theater. Seeing Cap wield the hammer and get down for his......seeing Thor try to deal with PTSD....seeing Cap stare down Thanos' whole squad with a broken shield ready to go all day but then the whole fuckin MCU assemble behind him......seeing Pepper ride for Tony and the two of them get down together in battle (no extremis bs)......the MCU women telling the kid "She's got help".....Black Widow going to her demise with purpose and passion to get the red out of her ledger......Tony declaring in the grandest fashion "I AM IRONMAN"......nigga I bout caught the Holy Ghost in the theater several times watching this movie. This is fan service to the quadrillionth degree and it's why I love these movies....the same reason I read the comics faithfully as a kid. As Kevin Smith put it....these are my stories and I'm so glad I live in a time where they can do it to this level on screen. This movie will get a billion replays in my house. My only concern is I don't know where they go from here that can hold a candle. But man.....Endgame.....fuck.....999999999999999/10.

Cuzz was fresh. Infinity war he wrecked fucking Zandar and the Nova corps, then smashed the Asgardians and Hulk.

This time he saw that the Avengers ended him and wasn't holding back. In the books he's knocked the Thing out with one punch and smashed Thor with his armour on like Thor wasn't shit.

This ninja has choked the Silver Surfer out and taken blasts from Odin and Galactus.

Maybe if they all bum rushed him and the witch took out his sword they could beat him down or world breaker Hulk could.

They condition you to believe that whatever the U.S. does is right and justified through these characters like Captain American, Batman, or Superman fighting some mythical evil character. Historically this is untrue and is a prelude to undermining countries like Venezuela. I would ban a movie like this in a second.

Other countries have developed tactics to undermine this propaganda. It is no big deal to Big Tex but when you become a target, it is real.

This Thanos is younger, less humble & wise, less battleworn & just saw the Avengers kill him after he (in his mind) did the universe a favor that no one else wanted to do.

Add on top of that that the past Thanos was more focused on his goals of removing half the population. 2014 Thanos is Thanos in full battle mode, with no more remorse for anyone or anything. Everything dies.

Falcon was a member of an elite unit...that's how he got the wings in the first place. He'll be fine.

See, that's where it gets tricky because elite doesn't mean you're a bad-ass hand-to-hand combatant. His unit was a rescue unit and doubtful if trained in top-level hand-to-hand. Cap, on the other hand, held down a freakin' helicopter. Not to mention all the other punishment he took. But the serum healed his body so fast he just kept going. Sam doesn't have that.
Now again, I'm not saying he won't be an effective CA, I'm just saying they're gonna have to give him some powers. To make it even remotely believable comic movie or not.

Maybe BP can give him a vibranium suit that's bulletproof and absorbs energy.

He was cap America in the comics. He will be fine. No one asks how black widow survives so why all the doom and gloom about falcon? Fuck that nigga’s beard though.

For those saying that cap fucked up the time line I disagree.

As Banner reasoned with the ancient one, they agreed that as long as the Stones were returned to the moment they were taken the timeline we all have come to know and love will be preserved. When steve stepped onto the time disc with Mjolnir bruce said it would take as long as necesary for steve but he would return in 5 seconds to them.

HERE is where the NO-prize kicks in...Steve did not need to return them all at once. I would propose that the first stone he returned was the soul stone (in theory using the space stone to teleport to various locations.)

Once the soul stone is returned next he teleports to asgard to drop of the aether and Mjolnir. Than goes to morag to return the power stone. Next up is to return the Mind stone to post battle of new york.

Now we are left with 2 stones which, IMO, are the easiest to return and thus the perfect time for steve to steal some time. With the space and time stone left he can transport back to the 40's and live his life with agent carter. Once she dies of a nice old age he can than go back to the military base in jersey return the space stone, then go to the roof of the ancient ones sanctom and give her back the Time stone.

At this point steve can either activate his time tracker or (seeing how he was sitting on a bench and not on the time disc) have the ancient one transport him to the bench we see him on.
