Avengers: Endgame (2019) Discussion Thread (SPOILERS)

skull is a slave to the stone...he dolo so he hasn't been able to sacrifice nobody... Ask yourself how does captain return a soul stone? You can't steal it, you can't take it, somebody got to die for it... In this case he returning it... So he juss drops it off? Red skull doesn't notice it missing? Doesn't make sense... Only logical answer he get an even trade widow soul for the stone... Ya forget marvel make serious issue than makes them seem light next movie...ragnarok Thor loses his eye..next movie he replaced it with ease... Infinity war Thor is crushed he failed in endgame he finishes his failure than becomes al bundy... This movie widow dies next movie she works at hooters...that marvel
I think you are confusing it a bit -
1. the stone was never missing - if you pay the price you can wield / possess it -
2. skull is now always with the stone - and it seems becomes its guardian when it has no owner
so there is nothing to "notice" if Cap returned the stone to that planet
3. they never really explained much about the planet
4. the stories MCU are based on aren't light and Thor is still missing an eye - he didn't grow it back or get re-do - he is wearing a bionic prosthesis - what you are saying is like me saying Anakin Skywalker losing a hand and later his limbs was light because of how quickly it was replaced.

As for Thor's arc and being crushed- go back to the convo with his moms and the first words he said when Mjolnir came to him

There were lots of fake outs in this movie.
I thought it wasn't going to be about time travel.
I thought Dr. Strange was going to be a bit more pivotal.
Did I miss the scene where Black Widow fired the gun?
Did I miss the pager scene with Captain Marvel?
She just showed up and saved Iron Man and Nebula.

Funny thing is 2019 thanos was right... He eliminated half the population...and in 5 yrs the worst thing that happen was hawk eye going beserk... Pretty much nobody else was starting trouble... No wars, no battles from outterspace, juss boring meetings, Thor getting fat... Starks had time to have a kid... Thanos 2014 was right ungrateful bastards...galaxy at peace and ya nigs mad and want to stir some s hit up

Technically, Thor taking Mhjolnir from the Thor from the past changes the timeline.

Thanos was always right. That is why he was the hero of Infinity War.
What he is saying isn't incorrect. Humanity is a plaque and it is running out of resources.
The populations needs to decrease in order to "reset".
Prince Harry said something similar not too long ago.
He was talking about Africa though.....

The Cap shit at the end was cheesy. He should have gone out in battle.

and I thought they were having a Black Widow movie :dunno:

Did you guys see the womans empowerment moment. Are we going to get that in every comic movie now?

I thought Hulk could heal himself?

The keep away with the stones was dope.

Thanos is a dope villan.

Thor  They should have shown him with a waist trainer.
The Black Widow movie might be a prequel.

Being trapped in the soul stone a thing? That really wasn't mentioned in the movie at all.
They were just off screen. Dont create your own movie now.
hey - I'm just going with the source material- to fill in gaps in the film - until the film makers / writers decide to do so themselves
Mam I wish it was cap that had to go and not Tony.
it had to be Tony.... everybody knows Cap will jump on the grenade

For Tony - it was the completion of his arc
He started here:

and ended up there - sacrificing his life for his friends and billions of people he didn't even know

In response to number 4 juss saying whatever seriousness 1 movie has in another it gets answered or become kinda comical... Black widow death is suppose to be serious...so I don't think they bring her back in this movie cause you suppose to feel her sacrifice... Upcoming movies she's l be back like captain spared my soul... If you knew she was coming back you wouldn't care about her death in this movie... Marvel purposely does the fake dramatic shit... It's why I was referencing Thor eye... He lost it than it was like hey let me put this fake s hit in next movie as a gag

Marvel drop hints in movie everytime... When Tony met his dad his father said " don't be selfish and do things for good of humanity " (something to that degree)...so basically it was the setup for starks sacrificing himself later on... His dad put the battery in his back

Yup, whales in the Hudson River

thats why took the hammer back with the stones...
:smh:

good catch
there a few things like this that bothered

like Loki disappearing and being completely unaccounted for with the cosmic cube
or the ppl that were restored...did they go back to their time or were they just missing for 5 years (if they were missing shouldn't pete's homie be outta high)

loved the movie
and a life long Cap fan him wieilding Thor's hammer and sheild against thanos was dream come true

Lol in the grand scheme Dr strange lined Tony up... He told him he was willing to sacrifice Tony life for the time stone... If you really think about it strange let thanos have the time stone cause he knew Tony would die and the time stone would return back to its rightful owner... Strange even avoided telling Tony how the battle would end cause he knew Tony was gonna die... Strange lined Tony up and nigs didn't even know it... 14 million outcomes and somehow Tony was gonna die lol

i loved the avengers endgame
i love comic books
i love comic book movies
i love sci fi

but damn i hate time travel in movies and plotholes/unanswerable questions it causes

what shield did Cap give to the Falcon
what was Cap up to for all those years
part of the movie kept the history from Carter show cameoing Jarvis but on the same show Peggy marries someone else
was Cap actually kissing his grand-daughter in the Cap sequels
how did Cap fly under the radar for all those years

The people that were restored were brought to our time. That was the deal Tony made to help. Bring evryone back but don’t change what happened after. Pete’s homie could have gotten dusted too.

Tony said not to change anything. All they wanted to do was bring back the people that disintegrated and drop them 5 years into the future. I guess both Peter and his boy disintegrated. They both have to finish high school, only 5 years later. A bunch of their former classmates are already in college though.

Naw. You thinking too much.
Everything that happened before this movie is a different timeline.

Captain America DID mess up the timeline by staying in the past.
He pulled a "Flashpoint".

He was not supposed to stay in the past.

He was there and there was another Captain America there. So I wanna know how this works out????

the plan was to send em back but thanos destroyed the van and their time machine?

it just seems kinda fucked up that all disappeared lost 5 years. But better than being gone for good I guess
