Eh.. I'm just going to say this. We all have options and choices as to how we choose to live and raise our families. My mom's whole side of the family were Thomasville Heights babies. Some of em chose to embrace the shit and become "hustlers", mainly her brothers. Others, decided they wanted more and did what they needed to do to get up out of there. A lot of folks love that environment believe it or not. There are just way too many opportunities out there these days not to have to live like that if you REALLY want to get out of that shit. My pops side was even worse initially, as my great grandmother was born and raised in Cabrini Green in Chicago. They ended up saying fuck this and moving down south when they discovered one of their kids was being beaten/threatened to be killed for refusing to join the gang. Every time I watched that episode on Good Times where the golden lords shot JJ for not wanting to be a part of that shit.. they talk about how that scene was almost identical to what happened with them. The system is fucked up, but you don't HAVE to become a part of that shit.

That city has been taken over by Gangster Disciples. I have a friend that teaches down there that told me all about how the gang culture has taken over. How GD's even found that lil ass city I have no idea.

A good chunk of the city's wealthy black folks live in South Fulton. They need to get it together...and also they need to do something about all of the trash on the side streets over there. I rode through Saturday headed to Rahim's and they need to get those streets cleaned up. They are taking in way too much tax money to be lacking the way they are.
