Is anyone familiar with AT&T's hiring procedures. I passed some long ass test they gave me and now they are saying they only hire term 1-3years. They also claiming that my schedule need to be open for nights, evening and split shifts. My boy who has been workin there like 8 months says all is well and they just hire like that to weed out the idiots before they join the union and are hard to fire. He also claims that the position is 6-3pm (so night school will be convenient). Anyone with inside info, I would appreciate some insight. AT&T acts like they don't know shit. Also, if anyone is looking for employment they are probably still hiring because about 100 people came for the test and only 25 passed.

 at one of the test questions..it gets harder, but not too much harder!

In order to search for information on the internet, you would open the following program:

dSpreadsheet

The position is called premises technician and pay starts up to about $18per hour....each one teach one...thanks in advance

Was a manager for 5 years - hired many people. Yes, everyone starts term, used to be 18 months and most everybody has to start as a rep depending upon location. Good luck to you and let me know if you have specific questions.

As far as I know the time thing is for those who have not gotten passed the trial period. Once that is done everything is ok. I heard that was put on hold (in my area). Also I think the time is for the amount of and type of O.T. that might come at you.

I know at times I'll be just gettin home and get called back and end up stayin out till the next mornin!

I've been with Ameritech,SBC and now at&t for 11yrs.
