• At least two people were killed and eight critically wounded when a shooter opened fire during exams today at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, according to officials.• Authorities say they’re still searching for the shooter, who was described as a male dressed in black, but few details were immediately available about the suspect.
• The shooting happened at an engineering and physics building where multiple exams were scheduled this afternoon, according to the school. One student told CNN affiliate WJAR he hid under his desk for two hours waiting for police to clear the building.
• President Donald Trump says he’s been briefed on the shooting. Federal law enforcement agencies, including the FBI and ATF, are aiding local law enforcement.
• Brown is a private Ivy League research university and one of the oldest higher education institutions in the country.
