i feel ya. I've never thrown a lobster in some boiling water. I know that's something I couldn't do. I don't really eat lobster might have ate it less than ten times in my life . Crab ehh but shrimp...... shiiiiit. Seeing these animal vids as I've gotten older always bring up the vegetarian debate in myself. Just the circle of life

Reading the comments on the youtube video and it's interesting to see how people have some type of morality attached to this.

You can not take your way of thinking based on how you grew up, experienced, survived and lived while trying to condone those who grew up, experienced, survived and lived in a totally different society.

It doesn't translate well. No different that you thinking that Christian values or way of life will work in a Islamic or Buddhist society the same way.

Boiling a dog alive is something I would never do and disgusted by it. However, giving those conditions folks are living in, there is no telling what I would do.

That's a fair point. I'm looking at it from my western views, but I suppose it's hard to say what anyone would do given those conditions.

No telling man. The only way to really know is to ask them. And even if they tell us, would we even be satisfied with the answer given?

Some animal eat other animals alive. And all that animal is doing is surviving.

Humans are no different in a sense. One of the few exceptions is that we place morality and meaning on things differently. It's just not uniform among all humans.

Many times we don't know what we are capable of doing until we are put into situations that will make us question our morality.

I never thought I would hurt a even want to entertain the fact I could kill a kid until my daughter was bullied in pre-school and came home with a black eye.

It was that point my morality was put into question and I realized I never had to think about that until I had a daughter.
