I am with Fairfield resorts, purchased it about 2 years ago in Vegas. We used a week this year in Orlando and it was first class all the way. Well worth it if you have a family.

hell naw.....the only people who make money are the ones who build them and sell the spots.

your better off finding a condo where you want to go.....rent it for the week....and be done with it the following week. Every coastal area thats worth the visit has some for rent. call the tourism board or get on the net and see whats out there. In the long run its cheaper becasuse you are not committed to anything.

suppose you cant go.......money lost. suppose you hit hard times....cant make the note......

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO........DONT DO IT ITS NOT AN INVESTMENT ITS A LIABILITY......I USED TO SELL TIME SHARE AND MAKE A KILLING........BUT THE BUYERS GOT THE BOOTY END OF THE STICK..MAN HOLD ON TO THAT CASH........SAVE .GET SOME PROPERTY..........AND KEEP IT MOVIN.....TIMESHARES ARE SCAMS........YOU DONT OWN IT ..YOU SHARE IT.I WORKED FOR FOUNTAINS OF BLUE GREEN IN ORLANDO, AND IN NORTH GEORGIA.DONT DO IT :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: :hmm:

I like time shares but I have to buy it from foreclosure insread of the resort or broker. The difference in price is a substanial difference.

They are bad investments. They do not appreciate in value. They are hard to sell. There is always a glut of them on the market that you will never get anything close to what you've paid for it when you sell.

You want to buy assets that increase in value over time and does not blead you with expenses. You want to buy assets that can generate income that can offset expenses.

Almost everyone who has bought them want to get rid of them. They often don't use them as much as they thought they would. They get tired of the dues and they hate the fact that they are restricted to a few locations.

its bad, just bad. plain bad. Most financail planners recommend that you save the money you would use for the timeshare and put in in a CD or some interest baring account till you ready to take the vaction. It will be less stressful to worry about. If you wish to start staying home and buy a big ass plazma TV or buy a RV you will have the money to do so instead of being trapped with a liability. If you decide after going somewhere for vacation that you want to live there you can use your timeshare money and buy a house.

it's not worth it. i have one and it's a headache to use it unless you set your dates 5-6 years in advance. there's never an availability, and even though i' ve paid it off years ago i still pay yearly maintenance fees, yet when i want to use it i hear every excuse as to why it's not available.
