Are you for or against HBCU's?
You posted a link to the US News top colleges (which includes no HBCU's), which ranks the schools by a number of objective traits
Then you posted another link of the "top party schools", which is a highly subjective list surely compiled by only a handful of white people at white schools
People party at both white and black schools
There was one HBCU Howard was at 96.
RN. I work I only work 12 hour shifts. If I work a 4th shift I make around $700/day.
Fireman have to work them 24 hour shift. They dont make 70 g's in forida.

Graduated from Fisk University and TSU grad school. Large amount of Doctors come through Fisk. In conjuction Meharry Medical produces more Black Doctors then any other school in the US. I learned valuable lessons at both Fisk and TSU.
Had great teachers at both. Think we need to support our schools. No way in the world the education is inferior. Same thing as saying Black people do not have the same capacity to learn. Ofcourse you have some less then favorable situations at HBCU's through mismanagement of funds. We have to realize one thing, this is a microcosm of society. We have many things in place to keep us from developing to the people we are suppose to be. The HBCU's feel the same forces. So yall brothers and sisters send ya kids there and support our own.

I don't see how it should be frowned upon to want to go to the best school you can go to. I'd rather go to a school that can draw resources from the nation, hell, the world as a whole, not just intellectually but financially as a whole. And that's what you get a universities that don't accept a certain race.

Thats cause it costs 22000 a yearnow for hampton. Most HBCU's are private colleges. Most minorities, especially us, dont have an extra 28000 dollars now for a year of school, including misc costs, not even countng a car. Wake up son, I could have gone to many a large state school, and by virtue of me not having to deal with chasing provosts down (cause whoever said professors keep hours at black schools didnt go to hampton before 2003, the last time I can speak on the place), arguing about (already paid-for and pre registered LAST SEMESTER) confirmed classes being now full, classes being cancelled w/o notice, teachers not showing up for classes.....like I said, I coiuld have studied more (I was never one to need after class help). DAY 1 Freshman year, I find out the dorm I was assigned to, twitchell hall, is a girls dorm.2nd semester, I have no sat scores, plus no high school transcript on file, so I have a flag on my classes until I act a FOOL in Whipple Barn. Sophomore year, with a balance of roughly 3500 in my student account left over from freshman year, I learn that for some strange reason, the 50 dollar dorm room reservation fee wasnt paid, even though I signed up for a room. I was told I had to actualy go to the window and pay, even though I filled out the form, and the money was already there. My mothers question to fat, pasty yellow dean hopewell when I had no room, and a car full of stuff sophomore year. was, "What fucking sense does it make for someone to have to make an extra goddamn trip to a silly window, when you passed the forms out in the dorm, and YOU ALREADY HAVE 3200 dollars extra of my money?!?!" "Wouldn't common sense dictate, that since the money was there, classes were pre- registered for, paid for in June for next year, that he needed a goddamn room?" Hey, I moved of campus a year early, but it cost my mother an unexpected 9000 dollars or so extra, cause I had to live solo, cause i had no roommate, plus buy furniture, and all types of shit. THESE EXPERIENCS ARE NOT UNIQUE!

There's a stigma that HBCU's are only good for that and people are doing a good job of diffusing that notion in this thread
We're trying to discuss the merits of black colleges aside from just being a place to "find black pussy"

well given I went to Winston-SAlem State University and graduated and now I'm at North Carolina A&T in grad school. I'm doing what I always wanted to do and so far everything is going well.
