you can do all that at the store you would just have to come back or have it delivered to your home. My whole thing about the store is i would want to touch it before making the purchase

Ahh, OK

Right now I'm trying to see if I can get one of the old 17" before they are all gone.:angry:

I was trying to wait for this upgrade, but fuck that. I don't give a shit about a retina, I want a 17" with the option to remove the optical bay and insert another SSD. trying to have a terabyte of SSD in that bitch with 16 gigs of ram.

They better offer an option to suck my dick on that motherfucka for that kinda cash

You don't even got to spec it out. It's got the same power as the traditional 15" macbook pro.

Keep in mind that it is All Flash as well.

I was told that the 2.3GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7 is isn't that much different from the 2.6.

The only comprise you would make would be the hard drive. But then again, you can store excess data on external hard drives.

The only thing you should future proof is the ram, as it is soldered to the logic board.

I don't think so. But its a nice device. I just don't use a laptop that much.

I think it is.

1 GB discrete graphic card

2 Thunderbolt ports * 2 Usb 3 ports * HDMI

I got a 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Core i7

I got 16 gb of ram (it's soldered)

256gb of flash storage( I got 2 TB external with a usb 3 connection so it's whatever. I'm planning to get a time capsule down the road)

Also--> Considered that it has the highest resolution screen in the market for a laptop.

I got all that for about $2,600 after taxes & shipping.

Now-

Go configure the traditional 15 inch macbook pro.

If you give it a 256 SSD, 8 gigs (that's it's max), & a 1680 x 1050 screen--> it will cost the same if not more. The only advantage are the ports, but you can get adapters (cheap).

-------------------------

It's a good deal. The 17 inch MBP started at $ 2,400 and nobody complained. I thought this shit was gonna be 3 grand. $2,199 is a steal.

Thanks for the explanation...So if i order the retina and i get minimum RAM, i cannot upgrade it later? @ soldered

Android bitches will rant about how passbook is lame until Google copies it then it will be the best shit ever. You know, how they did with Siri.

They will come out with a 17-inch model when SSD prices get cheaper.

The main people who were buying the 17-inch Mac Book are the ones targeted for the new Mac Book Pro. They were attracted to the resolution not the size and SSDs were already slated to hit at $1 per gig this year with several companies close, or under it with rebates. When it comes to the new Pro, the screen is the reason for the price, not the SSD.

That's the Point! :-) I'm hoping they keep this on Page 1 so I can post all the new details :lol:

Even Agent Creed switched to Apple.. nigga be deep in that jailbread thread :-)

I have an iPad I been said that. I still have android as my phone. A lot of people use both OSes hell someone likely uses wp7 too... both apple and android have their benefits. Each user determines what works for them.
The OS wars are dead dude.

They don't directly compete with each other. It's not storing credit card info, or requires that your phone company supports it. It's just about making things like payments or passes more seamless. Like having your Kroger Plus info comes up automatically when you are in the grocery store, along with your coupons or having your boarding pass come up when you are the airport and notification and a updated pass when your connector is delayed and so forth.
