Not II could see standing in line if that shit was on hella discount or sale, but to stand in line to pay top dollar regular price.
I am not even standing in black friday lines but I understand why people do.
You're low-balling yourself. You probably could get more! This is an article when the iPhone 5 came out
None!
I should have gotten seat in the line and sold it for $800!
Charlie Hufnagel doesn't need an iPhone 5, but he's been camped in front of Apple's downtown San Francisco store since Monday morning because an anonymous Apple fanboy is paying him $1,500.
"That's a lot of money," said Hufnagel, a 24-year-old unemployed social-media communicator.
Yes, it's time again for another Apple launch-day feeding frenzy, this time for the iPhone 5 arriving Friday in stores from Sydney to San Francisco. With a new wireless contract, the device costs $199 to $399, depending on the amount of memory.
As expected, the lines formed early outside Apple stores across the country. At the head of the lines were people like Hufnagel who were hired to wait or who represent sponsors. Hufnagel set up his faded green tent on the sidewalk on Stockton Street at 10 a.m. Monday after agreeing to a request on TaskRabbit, an online service for people willing to pay someone to do an assortment of odd jobs.
'Ambitious' task
Hufnagel said that he's picked up extra cash on TaskRabbit making papier-mâché alligators or delivering singing telegrams dressed as Prince from "Purple Rain," but "never anything this ambitious or long."
TaskRabbit seized on the marketing opportunity, supplying Hufnagel with company T-shirts and signs. As of Thursday morning, there were 230 people in San Francisco and New York who were willing to pay a rate of $55 for every four hours to anyone willing to wait outside a store for them.
"Every time Apple launches a product, all the Apple fanboys start posting tasks so they get one on launch day, but the iPhone 5 has been leaps and bounds crazier than anything else," said TaskRabbit spokesman Johnny Brackett.
By noon Thursday, there were eight people in line outside the Union Square store, but many more were expected before Friday morning. Right behind Hufnagel was Christian Soto, 19, who was being paid $12 an hour by his employer, Compupod, a Mission District iPhone repair service. Soto got in line Tuesday and planned to get two or three phones, including a black 32-GB model for himself.
"I'm getting paid and I'm getting the phone, so it works out," Soto said from inside his bright green tent.
Apple is expecting record demand for the latest version of its top-selling product - perhaps 10 million over the opening weekend - and may, in fact, not be able to keep up with demand. The rush to buy the new phone reinforces estimates from analysts that the iPhone 5 will be the largest consumer-electronics release in history.
The Cupertino company may have trouble keeping up with initial demand because of supply shortages of components such as screen displays, according to analysts. The company had to postpone some deliveries until October after early online purchases topped 2 million in 24 hours.

Nearly half the buyers in line for days in AUSTRALIA are planning to sell them for TRIPLE the price in China
- Not everyone was buying the must-have item for themselves
- Apple has not announced a date for the iPhone 6's release in China, the world's largest mobile market
[*]The basic iPhone 6 sells for $869 in Australia
[*]It's selling on Chinese online shopping sites for around $2,175

and it's funny how the chinese can't get them but they're made in china.
This is why the 1% keep sticking up the average joe. They know yall got money. These lines prove it!
It amazes me how tech fanboys will get riled up if you diss a company or post dance gifs if the company makes money; as if they are actually an owner. As if they are actually benefiting from the company's success. "They sold 10 mil. One of them was to me. Yipee!"
