THAT is one topic mainstream media has been strangely silent on - especially considering all of the financial skeletons in his closet - ie: multiple bankruptcies, misallocation of charitable contributions, skimming, financial dealings with Russian gangsters, missing tax returns, etc
AOC definitely has the skillset and fearlessness to bring tiny hands down - especially in combination with similar moves by other young fiery progressive representatives.

You can't compare the two. Trump has the majority of the Republican party working with him. AOC has to deal with a split in the Democratic party. At this point, AOC would never be able to gain the kind of power Trump has at this time.

To be clear, I was responding to the guy saying AOC had no political experience and therefore might not be qualified to lead. Congress is full of people who held no political office before they were elected to their positions.
In that regard, Trump wasn't the best example as a successful first time politician goes.
The conditions you described are true.
AOC had a much higher percentage of the public wanting to see her as the House Speaker than the Congressional Democrats who chose her. The old-guard Democrats are not matching the aggression of Trump and the Republican Party that backs him. The Dems badly need a shakeup. Nancy Pelosi isn't the person for that. Hopefully though, these young lions (and "we the people") will push her to move.

I bet there's been more politically motivated unfriending on Facebook in the last two and a half years than all the previous years combined.
Yeah bruh FB be revealing some of those cacs true feelings. One cac I use to work with, I seen one of his comments and it was during the time the Freddy Gray situation was going on. His comment said something like they animals. When I seen him here at work it took every thing in my power not to whoop his ass, I wasn't going to lose my job because of that fool. I basically wrote a long post and told all my cac friends if I see anyone of you referring to my people as animals or anything else derogatory, we done because I don't play that shit.
The point of nancy Pelosi's job is to move legislation through so that it can pass. Doing that requires the experience of knowing who you can and can't influence, you is and isn't on board and how to be able to change that. Think about it....there's a reason why the GOP hates and fears Pelosi and its because she's highly effective at her job. If you need proof compare what she has dome to what Paul Ryan has accomplished.....its not even close. You can't sit and say Pelosi is ineffective when she completely derailed Trump's attempts at getting a wall with a government shutdown. She played him at every step of the way.

Nancy Pelosi has not had a track record of being a strong leader. Not now. Not under Obama. I will give her that she took a stand against the funding of the wall and did well with that. Where's the rest of her accomplishments? Remember when she promised to charge G.W. Bush and company with war crimes? What happened with that?
