Anything is Possible, Dude Loses 300 lbs in 15 Months.

Cool vid, gonna forward this to someone I know that can use this as motivation.

Myself losing almost 30 pounds since mid October I can understand what he is saying. It's a lifestyle issue. You have to make an effort to change your lifestyle if you want to change your physical.

That's a lot of weight playboy. What kind of workouts are you on?

None. Just trying to be more active. I'm on a calorie restriction. 1200 per day working with a dietitian.

Sure. Real easy. Most days I eat two eggs and two slices of bacon for breakfast with a small can of V8. For lunch I mimic subway. Two slices of whole wheat, a slice of black Forrest ham, a slice of turkey breast, a few mushroom slices, black olives, bell pepper slices, a few slices of pickles, spinach leaves, tomato slices, onion slices and some mustard. I call it the Dagwood Bumstead sandwich. For dinner usually something simple that my wife cooks. Brown rice, chicken breasts or fish or some lean pork. Veggies like broccoli, etc.

I avoid sugary drinks at all costs, drink water all day. Avoid anything white for the most part. Sugar, bread, etc. NO DAIRY! I avoid snacking as much as possible because that plan alone will have me right around 1200 calories for the day.

I monitor my intake very closely by keeping track of what I eat. Every drop of food is tracked. Some days I may go over a bit and treat myself but as long as I continue being consistent the cheat days won't hurt because of the average of calories for the week. I haven't had any issues with losing during the cooking season because the rest of the days I'm staying on target.

I'm old school.

Instead of a whole lot of meat I pile it high with veggies.

Any fruits thrown in? How's your energy level?

I'm trying to find that balance between getting enough quality calories from whole meals to keep my energy up with my workouts and getting my fruits in where I can.

Fruits are sometimes added in but you have to account for the calorie intake. If you are a hyper active individual I would not suggest trying this diet. Especially if you work out. You will need to consider dropping slightly lower than the recommended caloric intake for an active young man. I wouldn't try to go as low as I do because me and your lifestyle are not the same. Because of back issues and nerve damage I can't do the same things you do as far as activity. So I have to choke the calories to reflect that life style. The key to losing is always less calories in than you burn. Even if you are at the cusp of the recommended allowance it would be enough to lose weight.

The best thing to do is start to keep a journal of what you eat every day. That will tell you where you need to adjust and tweek your intake. I use www.loseit.com to track mine.

Props to the cat. Always good to see people making healthy changes in life. Got a friend in their 50s who has lost 80lbs over the past 10 years. Increased exercise (walking, yoga, light weight training), better H20 hydration, Type II diabetes is completely in check now, and leg, knee & lower back pain are a thing of the past. A very noticeable difference going from 5'4", 240lbs in their mid-40s to 155 - 160lbs now in their mid-50s.

Another friend in their late-40s who was 6'3", 330lbs. They're at 275lbs now and further slimming down planned. Workout routine & better nutrition + less snacking.

Good shit. I lost 60 in a few months a couple years ago and kept most of it off.

Props. I know discipline plays a major role as well.

Always remember everything in moderation too. It's ok to go out of your way and have treats & junk food/beverages ... just don't make it the norm. Also, try to compensate by adjusting your exercise regimen around that time. As most of us know ... it's a bit of a gongshow at the gym come the new year. People come out of the woodwork & go hard in the paint for a few days or weeks before disappearing again. Don't be one of those people that comes into the gym and tries to go HARDCORE thinking you're going to make up for lost time, or conquer a NY resolution for the long run. That just ain't happening. Don't be one of those people taking selfies in the mirror, dropping free weights, not wiping down machines + equipment. You only get a pass with that shit if you're a bad broad with camel toe & quality azz & tittays.
