Anyone want to initiate a wrap up on their thoughts about their trades this year?

What was your first trade of 2021 and what was your last? What will be your first move of 2022 and where do you think you will be 12 months later?

this was my first year actively trading

I made a shit load of money on tdoc, enph lcid and gme, bac and some oil stocks

tdoc was my first ten bagger
Loved that stock
But happy I got out when I did

lost money on arkk and pltr as well as nio and sq recently
Still holding those cause right now I’m in to deep
Sold out of arkg… genomics might be the future
But I don’t have the conviction

been buying the dips on sq and pltr
Up to 800 at average price of 24 on pltr

started a position on Disney
And will dca into it

Biggest winners this year: LCID, NIO, CELH, TSLA, CRSR, DKNG, AFRM
Biggest losers: CBAT, ABML, NNDM, FCEL, GEVO (3 of the 5 are Chris Sain plays I bought in 2020 that I held and hoped for a bounce back)

Stocks that let me break even (or little profit) after being down big: GOEV, GNOG

Despite what ppl say I still like Chris I just don’t watch him as much because I am not a trader.
I hope this is a start of him being more transparent with his trade.

So he swung for the fences on a meme stock with no stop loss and didnt cut his losses. Yea, thats a recipe for hurt.

I'm sure his initial intentions were good, but I tuned him out after he switched up from the "its only a paper loss" to "cut it when you are down 10%+". I had trash plays holding and hoping based off his guidance. I learned, and I hope many others did too. What really irks me is how he'll lose on what we see, but "makes millions" on the portfolios we don't see.

He probably made millions from selling courses and option plays though.

Yes, if he was really confident in his plays, he probably would make 1 video per week because he would be too busy counting his money.
The more you listen, the less you want to watch.

Man, this year was good for the portfolio overall. S&P up 27%+ for the year

My winners $UNH (old money from an old job, $100/shr), $ADP, $XLNX (@ $133-$140/shr), SOXX/$NVDA, $AMD (added more @ $77). My losers were holdover SPACs...Paysafe (only had 100 shares but lost $600) and PSTH (down about 20%, but again only invested 2.5k). Sold both my losers today to lessen my tax burden. I'll end up owing the govt this year as I made one dollar too much w/ the brokerage.

The returns for the fidelity trading account (sans the $AMD in the e-trade acct.):

Honestly, I don't know my first trade in the new year. But I'm thinking of trying to not be as top heavy in tech as I was this year. Blasphemous, I know as the chip shortage will continue. But I need to diversify a bit more. Possibly more towards value stocks that pay dividends. :dunno:

***edit*** I'm still SMH at the Chris Sain trading account screenshot...

Earn your leisure to me has definitely been more productive for me.

FCEL was the first trade of the year.
VTI was the last investment (loooooooong term hold)

Looking at past price movements in Forex. The last year of stock trading has improved my patience, which was lacking when I was trying forex.
I'd like to double/triple a forex account by the end of the year.
I have a few meme cryptos that are doing well. I already took profits, so just have to be patient they will blow up enough to be life changing.
Knock on wood there are no expensive emergencies and this year will be as good as or better than the last.

Good post. They already are. People seeing individual stocks but you have to look at the sectors. The democrats in control will tank the stock market and economy which provides a myriad of opportunities to make more money if you play it smart.

just the first 2.5 trading days alone I’m up 250% playing the right stuff. I think FOMO is the key if you are long or short but crypto will produce the biggest gains in 2021.

@tical -

I don’t post information for anyone to “follow” - I just post to share tidbits I stumble across because research and reading is literally all I do now. I’m isolated due to COVID so I read relentlessly. I also learned to be patient. I have multiple accounts and don’t even touch one. (Which is worth the most despite me never making one trade in it). It is like “putting money away in the mattress”. I may share 10% of what I know in here but the majority is via private channels.

COVID has been one of the biggest money grabs that will happen in our lifetime because of the pandemic and because of long time restrictions being lifted due to the wealth transfer still taking place. This corporation is about to go broke and the empire is collapsing before our eyes and wealth must be transferred so people can keep their descendants “in the money”. The internet has made it so that others can profit from this and the same system whites put in place to lock so-called blacks out of wealth gaining is the same system that is causing their empire to fall.
COVID has been unfortunate but I know plenty that have made hundreds of thousands to millions in 2020 from anything to e-commerce (hand making and selling cloth masks and homemade hand sanitizer) to playing the stock market). I even predicted it would happen in this thread and others over a year ago.

hope people continue to secure as many assets and resources as they can because when the bottom falls out, it will be hard to fix it. I doubt it ever will be. And learn to protect them because when the collection agency comes (and they will) it won’t ever be as easy as it was to make a come-up like it was from 2020 - 2021. :eek2:
   @gene cisco - FYI since you keep the receipts to combat the shills.

Not 100% sure. But I'll up during premarket so i will have made a decision by market open. I do expect some day trader shenanigans. There will be money to be made.
Yep, if there is a uptrend in the pre market I will be looking for a quick scalp.
