I'm taking the steps to get in this field, in about a week i will find out if i passed the State Exam. if anyone care to share their experience with a 25 year old from nyc, please do. My instructor said Commercial real estate is where the money is but its a little more difficult than residential.

Also, i received a real estate flyer from a broker at a firm called "Exit Realty", did research and their on RipOff.com and they're part Real Estate Part MLM. i know there are shady tactics in business but i was disappointed that an MLM has entered the field. :smh:

also, if ur an Exit Realty and you have a good experience, please share

MLM in a traditional sense........cant exist in real estate.......your state board of realtors would shut that type of shit down with the quickness!

Commercial real estate is good depending on the market you are in. I would look into foreclosures for investors to get your feet wet.

Good luck in your career!

If you're a novice how can you critique? My point is this, it doesn't matter what firm you're with or what you've heard; at the end of the day it's all about you're "sphere of influence" business sense and your hustle. It's all about the best fit for you. You can be in a small shop and do do well or a large shop and fail. It all depends on you but you really don't know what works for you until you've done the work. I'm in your area, if you have questions PM me and I'll be glad to help.

Any good ebooks or audiobooks on real estate investing on the board? For some reason the search won't work for me.
