Currently watching the US trashing Thailand 13 to 00 I think fans might have left the bleachers to score as well......There have been some good teams so far. Japan will be hard to beat. Jamaican team needs some work even though they have good players. Kudos to their goalie Schneider (19 years old)

anyone else watching?

I'm watching, hope US gets their ass kicked at some point. My daughters play club and I have seen all of the politics on how they give all of these white girls chances and opportunity. We have a lot of black girls that can play but they get overlooked way too much, especially when it comes to the US team.

I hear ya. It might make you feel better watching the USMNT in the upcoming Gold Cup. They looked fucking atrocious Sunday!

They will probably tell you to look at their line up....That they have some minorities on the team...except they are reserves and just for the quota. They know how to play that game, thinking we don't see what they're doing...

Exactly. They will put some mixed girls on the teams but most of the times those parents are sell outs and I don't even fuck with them, even if my daughters are on a team with their daughters. We have so many black girls with two black parents that can ball but they get overlooked for some average ass players. My oldest committed to Howard so at least she will get a chance to play on a team where the majority look like her.

Hoping Canada is the team to knock them off..they have a good rivalry going.

I can't stand watching them honestly. They always like they are doing something when the women from the other countries actually have way more talent but don't get the same backing provided to the US women. Some of the other women are literally paying for their own hotels, equipment, travel etc. and don't have anything in terms of real coaching and medical/training support. The craziest part is that it was actually illegal for a while for women in countries like Brazil to play organized soccer.

Man I totally agree. Skill wise other countries have way better players, just not the money to back them. We just try to out hustle and play kickball but when they play teams with true skill that shit does not work. Other countries are catching up though and with us having these old ass women still on this team and having the younger girls play that same kickball bully style, they will eventually be like the men's US team. They need to get their asses kicked so it can bring on change and not just adding more black girls. We have just about every nationality in the US but when those girls can't get on the US team they use their dual citizenship to play for other countries. If we could keep all that real talent and not just put a gang of white girls on the team nobody would be close to us. That's the problem with the men's team too.

Exactly. That style is awful to watch. I was really happy when Japan beat them in the final a while back because Japan was playing beautiful, possession based football. Klinsmann had flaws but I appreciate the fact that he pointed out publicly that we have "pay to play" and don't have the best players representing us. It is sad to see all of the Black and Latin kids who are actually talented not get the scholarships and opportunities some of these stiff ass cacs get. :smh:

So true

I remember a couple of years ago someone saying that Men's Soccer doesn't have the best athletes of our country on their team...like imagine if AB or Reggie Bush or Lebron James, played soccer all of their lives instead of their respective sports...we would dominate...whereas in other countries, their best athletes are playing soccer...i thought that was interesting...

Soccer probably comes after baseball, football, basketball, and hockey in the US. We’ve had men and women national teams and clubs, and most schools have soccer teams for at least two decades now. Not sure soccer will ever be popular enough to kick any of the aforementioned sports off the ladder. Until then, there’ll be no visibility on what the managers are doing in terms of balancing out the team. To them they want the best players regardless of the skin color (usually white). Some of these women on the current team have on team for 8 to 10 years. They gotta go and give other people a chance.

But because they routed Thailand, I can see people say "if it’s not broke, don’t fix it "

I was rooting for Cameroon earlier, but I must reluctantly admit England was the better team despite the BS. I remember 2 specific times Cameroon should’ve scored. Clumsy first touches.

I hope Brazil wins this game.

Peace,

I know that they’re good and likely to win the whole thing but I can’t stand the US team. Classless, arrogant pieces of shit.

U.S. better win today with all that shit they been talking. Or Dumbass Trump gonna have a field day. lol

U.S Team actually looks like the most complete team of all of them. They use the wings to move the ball instead of the middle. That not-so-eye-friendly Tobin Heath is very good. She might be underrated. Rapinoe also adds value to the team. Alex Morgan that is being hyped as the best really didn't impress me.
They met their match in Adiani though. She was something special. Almost fucked up the US team all by her damn self. Kudos to Dunn. She reduced a lot of the drives that could have changed the game in France favor.

Women’s World Cup Soccer Final Scores 14 Million Viewers, Beating The 2018’s Men’s Final

Despite its early start time (especially on the west coast), Sunday’s dramatic showdown between Team USA and the Netherlands in the FIFA Women’s World Cup final drew a massive audience for Fox Sports and Telemundo. Per Nielsen, the American victory was seen by 14 million viewers on the Fox broadcast net, outperforming last year’s men’s World Cup final by more than 20 percent (11.4 million) to rank as the biggest Stateside soccer match since 2015— the last time the women’s team brought home the trophy. As AdAge reporter Anthony Crupinoted on Twitter Monday, that 14 million viewer figure beats most of this year’s World Series and NBA Finals games and every edition of ESPN’s Monday Night Football — an amazing feat given the match aired on a Sunday morning during a holiday weekend, with west coast viewers having to get up by 8 a.m. to watch.

What’s more, Fox’s linear TV feed wasn’t the only way audiences tuned in. The network says an additional 289,000 viewers watched the final on the network’s streaming platform. Additionally, Telemundo said the match ended up delivering “the most-watched FIFA Women’s World Cup match in Spanish-language history,” drawing even more viewers than the 2015 team’s win. The Spanish-language broadcaster said its coverage drew 1.6 million viewers via both TV and streaming. (It didn’t break out the TV-only numbers as Fox did.) Currently unknown: How many viewers watched in bars, restaurants and in other group settings not included in Nielsen’s preliminary measurements. As impressive as these numbers are, the 2019 women’s final didn’t break any ratings record for Fox, but that’s almost certainly because of its early start time. The 2015 match between the U.S. and Japan took place in Canada and thus aired entirely in primetime for east coast viewers. With a much wider available audience, that American victory was seen by over 25 million viewers — the most-ever in America for a soccer game.
