Man I tried to get my kids to watch the old xmas classics....frosty, charile brown etc they be like wtf is this shit...kinda sad

Retrieving as many old DVD specials as possible.
If it was made after the 80's, with a few exceptions, then it is probably not worth a crap.

man, last weekend i fucked around and bought that walmart combo DVD pack that had Rudolph, Frosty, Frost Returns and 2 other ones that wasn't that popular with me...let me get ahold of "how the grinch stole christmas", and it's a wrap.
pciture was all grainy, lines and shit running through it...that was probably some high quality analog tube TV viewing back in the day...guess they ain't them to blu-ray yet, but i like the throwback feel

I watch with the kids every year. They're not geeked out on some Christmas cartoon shit but they're mainly fascinated to be able to share something from my childhood.
I told my 11 year old that even though they have MUCH better electronics, we had better cartoons, cereals (he's a cereal junkie), and outside play.
He said he's gonna build a time machine and go hang out with me as a kid!.

If i had kids I’d watch all of them but I just have niece so I bought her the Charlie Brown XMAS special when she was about 5 or 6. She memorized it and tortured my father watching it over and over again and reciting it. I have the Charlie Brown Holiday pack and I occasionally watch that alone although its more fun to watch with family and listen to the "Negro Commentary Track" on the ins and outs of the world Peanuts. The only way to really watch these things as we did as children is to get the special edition DVD's because they edit the hell out of these things for time and to remove old Sponsor spots.
