I remember back a few years I would smoke with this nigga named Jabbs and his 2 sisters. They had moved over into the area from Compton and were active bloods. Herb was the main thing we had in common so we would chop it up and smoke from time to time.

I believe part of being a “good” teacher is to have the ability to connect with your students through trust, empathy, and understanding.

The consequence to that is you hear student’s deepest and darkest experiences.

And because many of my students are adults, I have a wide range of individuals so I hear a wide range of things.
