The wife wants to go there for our 1st anniversary in Oct...

Who can speak on it? Is it "Young Black Couple" friendly?

We been to Jamaica and stayed at the RIU ALL-INCLUSIVE hotel and there is a RIU ALL-INCLUSIVE in Aruba as well is that the best resort out there?

The Caribbean attitude to blacks is all the same. I am treated well everywhere I go over there. I have never been to Aruba but just google it and read the reviews of trip advisor.

You should consider other resorts like the Iberostar group and the Excellence group, they put Riu to shame and they're not that much expensive.

Have you tried the RIU? We loved it when we stayed there..
I've been reading SOME reviews but the population of people giving reviews are usually older white people thats why I came here to ask people that are more in my age group and ethnicity cus its a different dynamic.

btw I just checked the iberostar and excellence DO NOT have resorts in Aruba... So it looks like the RIU is the only major spot in Aruba...

Im looking to hear from people that stayed elsewhere in Aruba though I wanna try something other than the RIU..

Also when is the best month to travel to Aruba?

Yes I stayed at Riu Ocho Rios and loved it but I try different resorts when I can. Have never been to Aruba so I can't be of much help here. If u decide to go to Mexico , try the Iberostar Grand or excellence playa mujeres.

I stayed at the same exact Hotel in Jamaica RIU Ocho Rios so when I saw there was one in Aruba I kinda know it was a safe bet BUT I do want a different experience therefore Im asking these questions hoping people can lend their opinions.

I went back in the late 90's during the Sinbad Soul Music Festival. I stayed at the Sonesta and it was nice. If not for the festival and all of the people there for it, I don't think I would've liked it as much (At the time I was in my mid-20's). They have very nice beaches, though. The people are very friendly, and of course it's extremely hot, but very windy.

To be honest I didn't think so. It may be because I was just there for the ol' skool fest and the females. I was mid 20's and single so my outlook may have been different. They had nice beaches and there was a casino not far from where I was staying. I don't gamble so that wasn't an attraction for me. I have heard couples who have been find it more attractive than I did. Like most places they have guided tours, but I wasn't there for that. That would seem like something attractive for couples.

Everything at the hotel was expensive as hell since it's an island. I actually ate a lot outside of where I was staying. I had a nice time there, but definitely due to the concerts and the females.

It's a nice spot to vacation. The nightlife ain't popping like Miami. But the beaches and weather is fantastic.

Definitely black couple friendly.

I went last year August and had a good time. Nice place to take your wifey or shorty on vacation. The beaches are beautiful. Lot's of great places to sight see. And the food is really good. Dont expect to see a lot of beautiful women there though. But when you do they are fine as fuck! But I would say yes go for it you wont regret it.

been to aruba a couple times i liked it, it is not as "happening" as some of the other island you can choose from but you and your wife should have a good time. you can do the beach and tours by day have a nice dinner at a variety of restaurants then you can choose what you want to do at night whether it be gambling at the casinos or dancing to live bands at some of the small bars downtown or even clubbing at one of the clubs on the island. you are going with your lady so i wouldnt suggest you venture over to San Nicholas for a 40 dollar fuck from some of the finest Colombian women you have ever seen.
