I get most of my business from local customers and the online business group that I am in. I noticed a few posts a few months back about people selling domains and increase traffic.

I have a decent site up but I would love some tips or steps to drastically increase my traffic.

Any help?

I do it for a living which is why I asked. Dont let the 15-day status fool you into believing I don't know what I'm talking about. If your budget is ZERO there are some SEO options available. And the social media route as well. For most clients I recommend a combo of SEO techniques and PPC marketing, as tests have shown that the click-through and conversion rate tends to be higher when potential customers see your site in both the sponsored and organic listings at the same time. Of course you will have to do most of the work on your own if you don't wanna spend the money for various linkbuilding services. I can recommend some high-quality books about SEO, as well as PPC. None of that bullshit get rich quick stuff. Let me know if interested. Don't wanna waste time posting some shit you may not want.

Ha I would never assume because a person is a 15 dayer that they are worthless. I will however say that most services present offers what can be provided and then the cost involved. Professional marketing companies anyway. Ive contacted a few and I'm weighing my options to see if I can do any major improvements by myself.

What can you recommend? I'm game to take a look. I'm planning on hiring some people to man my site to make it live 24 hours a day but I want to drastically pick up traffic.

I did pay for some Google advertising for month to try it out and it picked up fairly decent.

Threadstarter: If you want some SEO tips on how to get LOCAL people searching for your stuff, let me know. I know a cheap provider. However, your pages must already be coded correctly.

They do OFFSITE SEO so your shit must already be optimized ON SITE (ie., your pages/content is already coded in a way to get localized searchers)

Here's another ANALYTICS TIP

Load analytics and find your referring keywords - the keywords people use to find your website

Get all the keywords

Run them through google Keyword traffic tool and set the match to EXACT (don't do broad phrase -you'll be wasting your time if you do)

Find medium traffic keywords and delete the rest from you list

Run all those medium traffic keywords through google search and look for your site

This will be your map as to which keywords to use when linking to your site so you can bump them up and maximize their traffic


Think of it this way--many small streams form a river. Don't be afraid to target small streams, as long as you target a lot of them
