Thoughts, tips, stories? I just had my right hip replaced yesterday man it felt so good the first hours after wards. Now it feels like a mule kicked me in the side. I barely slept two hours last night fam. Icing it now with this ice pack they gave me I took two oxy's but they never seem to affect me, Following all the instructions the doctor and the nursing staff gave me man, This is worse at the moment than the initial pain I had before the surgery lol

I recently got diagnosed with moderate arthritis in one of my hips. It's only been mild, occasional discomfort so far so I haven't had to take painkillers for it. I also haven't lost any rage of motion. My doctor told me I'm too young for a hip replacement (44) but I will definitely need one later in life.
I've just been doing different hip stretches and exercises so far. Good luck with your recovery.

I had one a few years ago.

They treated me for sciatica for 2 years.New doctor said my hip was bone on bone and that was causing the pain

Had the replacement and was walking with a cane in 3 days. The pain was so much less than I had been dealing with.

The incision in the front and muscles are stretched out the way. Quicker recovery because nothing was detached.

Wouldn't take any opioids cause they also cause constipation. Used the one-hitter but honestly didn't need anything

Had my hip replacement in May 2023
It took about a week after the surgery to get back active. (cutting grass and walking again)
The nagging pain I had dealt with for years was gone.
It took about a year for my old school cool walk to return, I can now tie my shoes. (with some strain)
I couldn't be happier.

actually its a good thing, the pain means the healing process is working.. if that shit was numb and you felt NOTHING.. AFTER SURGERY..

then... that wouldnt be good bruh....

One step at a time... try not to get hooked on pain killers.. I know you have to do what you have to do, when you have to do it, but

keep in mind you do NOT want to depend on that shit....

If you can get to like a swimming pool and do some excercises... slow movements of course, that will help with the muscles around your hip..

Nah I never had surgery, Im just a natural born urban bush doctor....number one in new york according to me!

Also bike riding if you can is a must, you gotta take care of your knees, and bike riding

a good workout even on an ebike, and its fun as fuck, and will gradually help you get in the game....

they got all kinds of ebikes even for big hefty dudes, they even got trikes for all you, five plates of dinner a night eatin muthafuckas...

but yea.. bike riding and swimming.. sheeeet, thats a must for me on every vacation.. If I cant bike AND swim...
