Another great Ubuntu release and Im lovin it.

Got rid of vista on the laptop and installed Ubuntu's new beta 8.04, I love the stability and smoothness of the whole operating system as a whole, best part is you dont have to find drivers for any of your hardware, every program I use is either here or theres an equivalent. I recommend you all to try this on your machine. You dont have to install it, you can run off the cd as if it where a harddrive.Also comes with firefox beta 3 built into the OS.Here of few screens of it on my laptop.Also love how BGOL looks on here with that font.

If you have an ATI graphics card, don't waste your time. You will have more headaches than it is worth..even WITH the uncertified drivers.

Folks go and download Wubi. Its a program that will install Linux on your Windows drive. It allows you to dual boot. It will even erase the program for you. My boy put me on to it a few mins ago. The program even downloads Ubunti for you.

i'm running yellow dog 6 on my ps3

everything runs smooth, firefox works great as far as doing my usual etc..

but i cant seem to get youtube video and the like to show the video, i can only get the audio to play...


i installed mplayer and a few other codecs from the software packager and on all the desktop environments (gnome, kd3, e17)

logged on as a user and as root as well.




thinking about giving gutsy gibbon a try


any thoughts?

I just got off of it. I don't have the time to fuck with it tonight. Shit was super fast. I asked my Computer Programmer about it and he went FUCK VISTSA. Its to slow. The only thing I have to tweak is my moniter resolution. Fuck that 800 by 600 shit.
