University officials cancelled Ann Coulter's appearance over riot fears after she told a Muslim student to 'take a camel'. Above, students protest her remark



Firebrand conservative Ann Coulter's lecture at a Canadian college was cancelled Tuesday night over fears students would riot over racist remarks she made to Muslims.

Security at the University of Ottawa scrapped the right-wing darling's talk when more than 2,000 students showed up to protest her telling a Muslim student Monday to "take a camel" as an alternative to flying.

Coulter's tasteless comment came after previously she told a gathering that Muslims shouldn't be allowed on airplanes and should take "flying carpets."

The camel quip came when Muslim student Fatima Al-Dhaher challenged Coulter on the remark - and told her she didn't have a flying carpet.

"What mode of transportation?" Coulter responded. "Take a camel."

Students jeered Coulter's remarks, and showed up in mass Tuesday night let her know she was not welcome at the school.

Coulter tried to explain away her comments Tuesday as "satire."

"I can say it a lot quicker with a joke, and by the way, they wouldn't be bringing me in here for a speech if I never told a joke, if I never used satire," she told a Canadian TV news channel.

Not too hard to understand. Limbaugh draws millions; and Sarah Palin is fairly strong draw. There's a market for extremism in this country, whether left or right.

Let me stop you right there.. She has a right to speak (IN AMERICA), but she has no right to force me or anyone else to listen. If people choose to listen to her speak so be it. HOWEVER. Those same "rights" dont apply in Canada. And better yet, lets say your black (I'm assuming, black) ass asked her a question and her response to you was some racist slam aimed at black people... You wouldnt be offended???

Now in response to your question: No I did not laugh, and I dont hate her because she's white, or because she's a woman, or even a conservative. I have plenty of friends who fit in all of those categories. I hate her because she's a spiteful, lying (she loves to make up her own bullshit, easily discredited, numbers to justify her ridiculous claims), fear mongering idiot who spreads her fucked up views to other ignorant people who are easily influenced (you can throw Glenn Beck in this category as well). Keep in mind a lot of those "easily influenced people" are employed as police officers, public officials, judges, and others in some form of power over those who this woman so spitefully speaks against.

Fuck that bitch, the world will be a better place when she is no longer in it.

So you hate her because she is spitefull, lying, fear mongering who spreads her views to other ignorant people who are easily influenced. Now there are several people who fit that catagory.

The first would be Al Sharpton. He has lied, remember Tawana Brawley? He lied about her and dispared the prosecuter and never apologized. He fits your description perfectly.

The second would be Jessie Jackson. He lied about his affair with another women and his child, out of adultry.

The third would be Bill Clinton. He lied about his affair with the intern and cigars.

All three preyed upon credulous people who still affirm the innocence of the liar. But to say the world would be better without that person...speaks to a persons inability to defend their thought or position without attacking the person they disagree with. You will work with others in a professional environment with whom you disagree politically...would you let your employement be adversly affected by your politcal views? In other words, debate the issue and do not attack the person. In logic or a debate, when a person begins to attack the person they disagree with, they lost the debate or argument and cannot defend their position without hurt to those they disagree with.

As far as your examples, they do not equate in this regard. Unlike the people you mentioned, Ann isnt lying about an incident in her life, or telling a lie to keep herself out of trouble. She publicly tells and publishes lies (spiteful, and offensive lies) which include negative and stereotypical statements on an entire race of people, or an entire demographic. And many of the people who listen to this woman, may in fact look differently or treat differently those who Ann attacks simply based on what she lied to them about. And keep in mind her audience (and many others like her) include people in Law Enforcement, the Judicial System, Business Owners, etc. If those people are influenced by Ann Coulters hate speak towards those different than herself... It could have negative effects on people like myself, Muslim Americans, liberals (in general), gay men and women, you name it...

For example (to further prove my "Ann Lies" point), Ann in a debate with Al Sharpton on Larry King goes off on some rant defending racial profiling. She goes on to back up her claim that a traffic cam statistically showed that out of the "200 billion people" surveyed committing traffic violations, the majority of the them were black???? Thankfully Al Sharpton responded there arent even that many people in the United States of America... but hopefully you get my point (there are plenty of websites out there, that systematically breakdown her lies and the BS footnotes she cites in her books).

Now let me further add I am black, 27 years old, two kids, and I live in a predominately white/christian/republican city. I am surrounded by people who I disagree with politically, religiously, etc... My ability to disagree with someone has nothing to do with my dislike for Ann Coulter, nor does my verbal attacks have anything to do with my inability to defend my position. I DO NOT like that woman (or others like her), and my attacks were to further exhibit the extent in which I detest her.

In closing, lets just say if the criteria for making the world a better place includes a world with less hate, less fear, more tolerance, and more love... The elimination of Ann Coulter's lies, racial insults, hateful and offensive commentary, would in fact make this world better. I stand by my position

Not sure if you read anything I wrote or if youre just completely misinterpreting what I'm saying. Its not about lying, its the "type of lies" Ann perpetuates (I dont see children writing columns saying "all muslims are terrorist"). I'm not sure how familiar you are with Ann, but I have countless reasons to justify my dislike for her.

Now as far as the Christian thing, I'm far from a Christian (for many reasons), which in itself has no bearing on the matter at hand, since I never wished her to die. I simply said the world would be better without her, and I truly believe that.

You should be directing that "If youre a Christian" statement directly at Ann Coulter since she constantly wishes the death, murder, and assassination of countless people. Here's a quick rundown of some of her death wishes and the method in which she wished these people would die (BTW she proudly waves that Christian/High Moral/Pro Life Flag):

John Walker Lindh "burned alive"
Norman Mineta "assassination"
New York Times "truck bomb"
Al Gore "friendly fire"
Gray Davis "friendly fire"
John Edwards "strangling"
John Kerry "carpet bombing"
Justice Stevens "poisoning"

Trust me dude I could go on all day, but hopefully you'll get some kind of idea as to my reasons for detesting such a human being. And for the record, yes her words influence people, and for those who arent influenced, her words at least confirm the feelings and ideals of some of the other intolerable, ignorant, knuckle dragging people in this country who feel the same way inside but never publically say it (now that I think of it, I guess this is what keeps her employed). So once again, I stand by my position
