Looks like Samsung & Google will debut/announce the release of the next version of Android Ice Creme Sandwich...

Android ICS is the version of Android that will unify the Phone (Android 2.x Gingerbread) and Tablet (Android 3.x Honeycomb) into one version. Their is also more features, but that is the main one. Plus all the Honeycomb features are in their for phones...

At the event they are expected to release Google's new flagship phone the Samsung Nexus Prime.
Expected Specs:
4.65" 720p HD Super AMOLED screen :eek:
Dual core 1.5Ghz CPU
1Gb RAM
8MP Rear Camera/2MP Front Camera
4G LTE

From everything that has leaked their is no hardware limitations, so older phones may get it. Here is a video that was leaked today showing a Galaxy S supposedly running ICS...

 
Can't wait... (As to the screen, it's HD, they wanted to go bigger to show off how different it will look when watching movies/playing games.. It's only a bit bigger then the Galaxy S 2, and that phone is hot!!

I agree. They about to hit the 5" realm and that is pretty much a mini tablet.
 
is that the date it drops for all android devices or just that phone?? if that shit aint as smooth and as fast as iOS then im swithing from the EVO to the iPhone. im tired of a laggy, clunky ass os on my phone and having to force close apps. and the default messaging app is the worst of all my apps. god forbid i text more than 3 people at once :smh:

No it is not the launcher, I have seen that. The video also shows the About page..so if it is a fake they customized the entire ROM to be fake.

I have the Droid X and I want a bigger one. I have huge hands and even on the DX I have issues. Size is going to be a personal thing...they will always make phones with smaller screens.

That is the date that ICS and Samsung Prime is set to launch. The release date of ICS for YOUR phone will be up to HTC. Google makes the base OS then HTC, Samsung, Moto, and all them customize the OS per phone and with their software. Don't blame Android or Google, blame HTC. Samsung proves that it is the reseller and not Google as there devices are damn near flawless.

The problem to me is when phones start hitting a size above 4.3" it is hard to just slip it into ones pocket.

I mean do I have to get a satchel just to hold my phone? :confused::smh:

3.1" x 6.0" x 0.4"

EVO
2.6" x 4.8" x 0.5"

0.5" wider and 1.2" taller isn't that much to me... defiantly not enough to make it harder to put in my pants pocket. :dunno:
