If all it took was having sex to make one successful then we would have a million Kardashians walking around, but we don't. It took business savvy to be able to leverage a sextape into a multimillion dollar empire. Makeup, entertainment, clothing stores. You don't hear people recognize that part of it. All you hear is, "oh, they're rich for doing nothing", which is flawed reasoning based on my reason above, but nonetheless I like to counter with, "who wouldn't want to be rich for doing nothing?"
On the flip side, they are millions of women who is making it through other means, so it's definitely possible. It's not the Kardashian family's fault that you're not happy with your current station in life.
From what I've seen, the sisters (especially Kim) were already hustling hard in the fashion industry before the sex tape. Kim had a fairly successful business going already. I always like to read up on these stories because it's a common thing to dismiss people as an "overnight success" when people were often grinding it out for years and finally hit a tipping point where all the work paid off.
Yep, ironic as it is, I remember hearing Kim saying how she rarely parties and doesn't drink because it's always an appearance or something that has to be done each day.
My question to the general masses is, "Are you willing to give up such things for success?"
Alot of people likely would not.
