also try to take up some Meditation if you gonna do shit like this especially if you have anxiety already....you have to look at your experiences with detachment and learn to just Witness things without having any thoughts or any attachment to them...Not taking precautions like this is how people end up in psych wards
You could do the same thing if you stayed up for a long time. The muscles in the eye will start to relax as to not let you over strain them. A defense mechanism if you will. The "images" you are seeing is your eyes losing focus.
