My apologies for misunderstanding your original post but in many ways the writer of the article is making a fundamental mistake in assuming that anyone other than Amber's parents and family have a responsibility to look out for her.

None of us posting in this thread really know much (if anything) about the young girls home life so for all we know, she may even come from a stable home with loving parents.(stranger things have happened)

I just feel sad that things are so fucked up for children nowadays and cases like this have me wondering what the future really holds for these young ones as well as the irresponsible adults who exploit them.

Like yourself, I genuinely hope that Amber gets the support and help that she will need to reconnect with something a lot more positive and I also hope that the young boys that she dallied with one day grow up to realize that their conduct was reprehensible and totally reprehensible.

The real culprits are the one's who videotaped it and released it, but that is what to be expected from boys. Sex is a shared experience for boys when they are young.

This is not a morality issue for me because we like sex and young people have sex whether we like it or not. I won't say never. And i won't say all of them. My husband would defend anyone who couldn't defend themselves. And also he'd never stand by and let a girl child do something like this.
