This shit is a downright scam.. Ebay hits me with their "final value fee" and then Paypal hits you with their fee. (Ebay+Paypal = the same company). And to top it off, these fuckers will hit you with the final value fee on shipping costs :smh: and now with this new rating system its impossible to give negative feedback to a buyer. Just recently, they changed their user agreements to force everyone into arbitration as to avoid any potential class action lawsuits. I'm leaving the scam machine but I'm just looking for an alternative.
 
Pretty much... that and everyone charging MSRP for everything that isn't beaten down used
 
used this shit (ebay) one time about 3 years ago and didn't receive shit :angry:
 
by the time you finalize a sale you are out 12%, its like the mob. Ebay owns paypal, they charge you to sell then give you no choice but to use paypal then charge you to use them. I see they changed their pics policy they use to fucking charge you to upload more than one pic.

fees are too high, and the buyer withing 30 days can get a refund for damn near any reason, even on day 30

and can still fuck up your feedback
 
You're late. Basically for sellers it's 10% deducted the final selling price. That should cover paypal and ebay. I sell on there and make profit even with that.
 
Still a good place to buy... but selling :smh::smh::smh::smh:. I shut down my store down years ago when it became clear they were pushing paypal and getting rid of other payment options. Paypal is on that bullshit... randomly holding my money without explanation, refund issues :angry:

I sell my used shit on craigslist, all profit. Always meet in public.. electronics sales always take place in the police station lobby. BGOL will not be posting stories about me getting my ass whipped over an ipad :lol::smh:

I use it too but the products are limited and shipping allowances can be ridiculous. I recently sold a PS3 fat to a guy in Seattle who wanted expedited shipping. They gave me a shipping allowance of $16 that can't ship a pair of shoes let alone a PS3.

I sell a ton on ebay. Pass that 12% off to the buyer. Ebay has pushed the casual seller out though. Im interested in Amazon anybody have any real experience there?

The only good thing about ebay is when I wake up in the am I always have one sale. Also grab all the emails off your sales and create your own customer base. I have a list of 2.6 emails that Ill be using through Mail Chimp
 
ebay is still great for buying imo , i only sell when i have to, a chick i was dealing wit left the country and gave me alot of her shit so even tho ebay took a cut its still all profit for me, butt hats the only way i sell tho
 
The scam must be on the seller's side. I buy on there pretty regular and have never had a problem. But of course I think Amazon is better. They just don't have used shit that may be out of production or hard to find.
 
I have been selling off some of my Transformers collection on ebay and my experience has been great. I prefer Amazon, but they lock toy resales on accounts due to the holidays if you have less than 50 sales. Ebay been good to me, its just time consuming compared to Amazon.

I sell books, toys, old jerseys, sports memorabilia....if itisn't bolted down and/or not being used, its for sale.

Where are you gettin' your shit from that you could make a net profit? Are you going to garage sales? Getting shit from GoodWill? Buying shit cheap from Walmart? What?

Mostly my own collection but I hit up yard sales, Goodwill/Salvation Army for shit. Even the library for sale section.
