y'all don't watch the news? They did this couple months ago, it's not some type of conspiracy.

This was inevitable. Google simple has their hand in more things we use everyday than Apple (and pretty much everyone else). Internet (search, social media, broadband, etc.), applications, marketing, cars, etc. Their plans in the medical field and automous vehicles will only expand their lead over Apple.

Makes no sense for Apple to do this. They are the only company that controls the hardware and software.

The next iPhone will fix their problems.

The Alphabet stock price 52-week high is $789.87. That was hit on 02/02/2016.

The next iPhone won't fix their problems. They'll slowly erode their fan base with less innovation and nobody wants their software. Microsoft proved that years ago. Apple is on a slow spiral downward unless they can bring back Jobs with something innovative like teleportation. Who wants restrictive hardware with proprietary software?

"Nobody wants their software." - is news to me especially considering iOS makes more more money for developers than Android does.

Apples isn't in the arms race, they're in the race to make their users lives easier by taking a complex task and simplifying it for them.

The iPhone 5SE and the iPhone 7 will probably end up being a record year for Apple but only time will tell.
