Father, Son Charged With Sex Trafficking Teen Girls
The father
Rochester, N.Y. - A Rochester father and his son are facing separate charges that each lured a teenaged girl into prostitution. The son, who was arrested Monday, is a teacher’s aid at Monroe Boces No. 1.
Marques Williams, 26, has been suspended without pay. According to court papers obtained by 13 WHAM News, the 15-year-old victim says Williams “taught her everything about prostitution from prices to how to tell if you were dealing with police.”
The victim, identified only as CW2 (Confidential Witness 2) says it was Williams who reserved rooms at the East Avenue Inn where she met with as many as 15 customers a day and was paid up to $1,000.
“We have the case of a 15-year-old minor girl who was being groomed by a 26-year-old defendant and taught how to engage in commercial sex trafficking activities,” U.S. Attorney William Hochul said.
Neither Williams, nor his attorney could be reached for comment. Williams has pleaded not guilty to sex trafficking related charges.
Now his legal troubles are impacting the case of his father
Michael Todd Williams, 47, is accused of holding a 16-year-old girl hostage and forcing her to engage in prostitution. He was arrested earlier this year.
The senior Williams had hoped to share a residence with his son, in order to be released on bail while awaiting trial. But at a hearing Wednesday, it became clear to the judge that his son is now facing charges of his own.
While the alleged father-son involvement is unusual, authorities say small sex trafficking operations are more common than people realize. “Unfortunately in Monroe County we’ve had a rash of these cases,” Hochul says. “Perhaps it’s that we are now more successful than ever in identifying these kinds of cases.”
Hochul and law enforcement blame the explosion of Internet escort web sites. Both father and son are accused of advertising the minor girls on Backpage.com.
Court papers allege Marcus Williams admitted his involvement saying “I understand I was involved in something I should not have been.”
In a statement Boces No. 1 says there is no indication that the trafficking allegations involved a student.
Father and son will move through the court system separately. A sex trafficking conviction carries a prison sentence of 10 yrs.

Because Williams got fired from BOCES, Judge Jonathon Feldman gave him permission to use a personal computer, but that computer will be electronically monitored by the federal probation office
