I stopped by the grocery store Saturday morning at 7:30am. Walked through the produce, then back to the deli. An older staff member about 60yo was helping a 40-something Jersey Shore 5-foot tough guy. The customer began getting agitated and yelling obscenities at him. “Fuck you this, fuck you that. You guys keep discontinuing the products we like. Stop that, you fucks!”
Got up in his face looking for a fight. Staff kept his cool and calmly asked him to keep his voice down.
I stayed nearby in case he assaulted the staff, and was ready to tackle or KO him (but didn’t want that on my record). Just made sure to keep a presence. The customer stormed off, and I made sure the staff was cool. He was, but rattled. Looked over at other staff and they were keeping a close watch but further away.
Fucked up situation. 30 mins into his shift and The Shit uation 2.0 is screaming at him.
