I doubt it, why limit your options. I'm looking at brothas now, and it's like they've given up trying to progress and just wallow in every stereotype there is. No problem with ink, but does it have to cover every inch of your body? Is every thought people make determined by what they see music artist and athletes do? They don't have to worry about applying for a 9-5 job, they millionaires, average person isn't and will have to present the best image possible of themselves in order to obtain employment. But it's as if brothas live solely for the moment...

Agreed! More and more companies are becoming multinational and this trend isn't reversing. The tat thing will become LESS acceptable in the years to come especially if you're trying to move up in corporations with foreign subsidiaries. You never know what the tats mean in other cultures and subgroups that are NOT music related in the US.

It's people every where with tats, if they want them get them, I say be smart about placement and atleast have some meaning behind them, I have a friend that just got a job at boeing in Seattle corporate by the way, and he is covered in tattoos except his neck and hands and face, I don't think he's following any trend he just likes tats, tattoos have been around forever almost as long as niggas been fucking, that's far from a trend.

Dude...you're delusional. As someone who hires people, I don't even consider those with VISIBLE tatts. They are a reflection of your decision-making ability.
Also reminds me of cats who get degrees from those online schools. No matter how much they want to believe, those degrees will never be taken seriously in the business world.

Funny thing is that this "trend" mostly stems from Tupac! Seriously, what black artists, and black people in general, were tatted up like that other than Tupac back in the 90s? DeVante from Jodeci is the only other one I can recall.

Arms tatted and have been since my first one in 94. I went to quality artists so no real fading or craziness.......Never got the face and neck tats. I work and wear long sleeve button ups.

alot of them will probably do small hustles, I know older white dudes who are heavily tatted up own alot of liquor stores, bars and so forth... It's alot of jobs not in corporate america that alot of these guys can get....

the only way its going to get accepted is when the people that are getting tats are going to start their own businesses. that way you wont be judge as quickly as normal. but then you still have to deal with other people. if you are a business that deals with other businesses it can still be a problem.

When tats got big I said the new business venture to get into waould be tattoo removal. I have no problem with tats (I have a few myself) but everything can be covered by a shirt.
