A Social Media Influencer is a user on social media who has established credibility in a specific industry.
A social media influencer has access to a large audience and can persuade others by virtue of their authenticity and reach.
Basically she has enough followers that companies will pay her to advertise their products on her page.
Same as having a a sponsored channel on youtube
Wow. I see why so many skanks on IG. They can get paid for some bs and pick up the next man up. To take his turn!
So in her case what can she influence monetarily? I live in Atlanta and I know chicks with over 100k followers just like her that sleep on their homegirls couch or are driving Uber. IG is a great tool for instafame. In reality being in the photography circles around town, most these chicks 9 of 10 are leaching off someone else.
Not all of them know how to do anything more than take pictures for likes, the formula is there, you have to know how to use it.
I'm a photographer, I think I'm good at it, I'm not making a killing off it because I don't advertise well and my day job that comes with benefits keeps the lights on and food on the table.
fact is I have a lot of models that come through my doors and don't know where to start with anything, hell, some don't even know where to shop for sexy outfits, I just shake my head, some ask me to send them links to outfit ideas.
when you see chicks pushing that tea, bra, fashion nova, etc they figured out the formula or got put on or the brands found their page.
the ones that aren't business savvy get sent free products to wear at their next photoshoot
they get to keep the clothing in exchange for pics but no financial compensation
