Alameda County Sheriff Beating in San Francisco Video

Update: Alameda County Sheriff officers, after chasing a driver across the bridge and then on foot, beat the man with nightsticks in San Francisco's Mission District.
Note that the video surveillance system records in 10 second chunks, with a gap in between.
So the beating was actually twice as long as what is shown

In this country, citizens are presumed innocent until proven guilty and cops are there to enforce the letter of the law, not exact vengeance in a back alley. In the span of a single generation, cops have devolved from noble protectors into thugs in body armor who believe themselves to be above the very laws they profess to uphold.

A man shooting a dog in the head is evil and a man continuously torturing a dog so that it feels every ounce of pain is not? Perhaps you are just desensitized. Look at the video dude. When they knock him down, then when they start beating him like there's no tomorrow, even when he's crying out for help.

In our "free country", juries decide guilt, Judges hand down punishments. Which one was the good cop? Police only enforce state statutes. In this case the police committed crimes as bad as or worse than the suspect, making them criminals in the end. At least there is video of this assault.

Law enforcement needs to realize cameras are every where, and that if you are shown beating someone who is down as the man was when he hit the ground and basically gave up, that you will be held accountable. What makes me mad is its the few like those officers shown who make life hell for the 99% of good officers we have.

I met a cop from Oakland last year who was driving Uber part time to make ends meet, and his stories were completely shocking. They weren't one-off incidents.

I don't have a problem with a police officer defending himself, or even using his firearm if there is evidence he is being attacked, or using force if there is evidence of resisting arrest until the criminal is able to be arrested, but that wasn't the case.

Notice how the police gather around after it is all over, to get their stories coordinated. You'd think they would have been smart enough to see the camera on the building. They could then take the video as "evidence."
