After his 1st rushing TD guess what Kaepernick just did?!

He didn't ask or choose to be a role model but he is one. We all know it starts at home but not everyone does this

OK, you refuse to accept LOGIC & FACTS that parents teach kids.
that role model shit ain't got nothing to do with "people died for the right to vote", which is where you started.
maybe you're a sheep & follower, so monkey see monkey do is how you grew up.
please STOP responding. there's NOTHING more to say.

You're just as ignorant as keap. He didn't care about the president election. But there's so many other issues at the local and state level in which your vote counts.

Keep being a dumb MUTHAFUCKA if you want to my guy.

Colin basically shitted on every black person who fought for the right to vote and paid the ultimate price.

Their life.

Okay this is what im saying tho...

By him not voting, this could influence millions of other kids for future elections. And this could cause a lifetime of non-voters.

"Keap didn't vote, why should I"

Ignorance
Do you realize that you sounds like these cacs who play dumb to all of our issues that Kap are fighting for. Damn. Are you that dense?
He been said that these 2 leading candidates weren't shit, like me and others, so it would be just as irresponsible to back a candidate who doesn't fight nor care for your issues.

This man is helping to build from the grassroots level. He has recognized that neither party gives a shit about us. He is walking and talking that life. I'd pray our kids grow up and have his mind state.

blah-blah-blah.

I'm done with you at this point. Again, PLEASE stop.

Kap gets no love for me anymore for his ignorant stance on not voting. People like him who didn't vote gave Trump this election. They affect us all with this backwards militant bullshit.

It's insane. All of my foreign friends (Indian, Dominican, etc) couldn't wait to vote and be heard. Only in my community did I hear ignorant shit about "I aint voting" bull shit.

You sound like an idiot, less than half of ALL eligible voters participated in this election, yet "only in your community" did people not vote...niggas just itching for a reason to pick on other black folk

Famo what's your other screenname

kaep clearly said that both candidates were corrupt and represented the system of oppression bro

he actually said they were both terrible

he would look like a hypocrite if he voted man

btw i agree with him

I'm like which one he should've voted for since he didn't think highly of either...

Nigga who the fuck are you?

Stop responding cuz I'm typing some real shit? lol fuck you.

You're just going to overlook what I said about the state and local policies that voters have the ability to change?

Exactly.

He should have voted. Period.

Bingo.

White people do it all of the time IN EVERY ELECTION cycle. 100% of all registered voters voting in an election is a rare happening.

Even the Bushes did not cast a vote for the POTUS this year:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...orge-w-bush-did-not-vote-for-hillary-clinton/

Nah fam I'm not...

Kaep has the platform and influence to sway the opinions of so many kids and young adults. If he really cared about the cause, he'd vote because he would realize this shit isn't about him. Our ancestors have DIED for the simple human right to vote...And for him to openly say he's not voting was a blatant slap in the face to everyone who fought for equality during the civil rights movement. I understand he said neither candidates didn't represent him...Okay cool. STILL VOTE NIGGA...Excercise your human right. But by him not voting....All of this shit is coming off to me very selfish and self centered.

He dropped the ball on not voting. period. He could have even did a write in....That's better than not voting
What our ancestors did was fight for the opportunity to vote. They fought for the choice to vote or not to vote. If you are forbidden to go outside, you fight for the right to go outside even if afterwards you choose to stay in the house and read a book.

The way I heard Kaepernick say it was that he did not vote for president, not that he did not vote at all. But I could be wrong

If he didn't like either candidate who and why should he have voted? I voted and I feel I wasted my time doing so. In the end my vote didn't mean shit. I'm in a Repub state so if it ain't local my vote don't mean to much of shit anyway.

please shut the fuck up.

you arent fooling anyone but your damn self.

hand check motherfucker.

That does't make any sense pimpin. I know my ancestors died to give us the right to vote but they wouldn't have voted for either one of these shady fuckers also. It's like going to a restaurant and they just have two dinners and they both taste like shit but you pick one and eat it anyway just because you can instead of not eating either.

read his direct quote bro:

I support Kaepernick and I don't think anybody has an obligation to vote. But to claim "it almost seems like they're trying to debate who's less racist" was just fucking ignorant. One candidate launched his campaign by claiming Mexico was sending rapists and murders, later was endorsed by the Klan. The other candidate said some fucked up shit 20 years ago and ran on an explicitly anti-hate platform in 2016.

It's not even close, man. We can criticize both sides without sounding like fools claiming there's no difference.

"Should vote." According to who? As a poster already said in this thread, voting is a right not an obligation. Kaepernick voting wouldn't have stopped Trump becoming president. And he didn't mention he didn't vote until AFTER the election.

What's so hard to understand?

EXACTLY! Same thing i said to people during the election. NY has been voting democrat for as long as i can remember, so my vote doesnt mean shit. I told my mother that the rest of the US might not agree with NYs vote though after she kept pestering me to go vote.

No bro, thats a such a misconception of the movement.

we fought for the right to vote if we wanted too

to be able to go or stay home and not have anyone say shit

You know this is a fair point...

I support Kaepernick but I feel like just throwing out voting COMPLETELY isn't the answer...

Just because what is the alternative?

You just legitimize the fake hoteps or the lazy.

What message exactly was sent by not voting in this election?

To not vote for local elections especially judges councilman and laws?

How spreading that message to black folk positive?

Asian cop shot and killed an INNOCENT black man in the stairwell of his own building in Brooklyn and got off Scott free because of the political and economic power of the Asians.

THAT is something we need to never forget and use as fuel to mobilize organize and create a REAL coalition.

And voting is a important PART of reaching that goal.

Our ancestors died for human rights period. That includes the right to protest an election by withholding a vote when the system gives you a stacked deck.

The one right that our ancestors "died" for us the right to bear arms. Why don't i hear blacks taking issue with the democrats always trying to disarm blacks with the help of the black church? Why aren't blacks up in arms about not having gun clubs in inner city schools like they have in rural schools? It's been proven these classes teach gun safety.

The reality is blacks don't give a shit about our rights because white politicians haven't told you to care about any other right except voting because voting benefits those in power who IGNORE YOU ONCE THEY GET IN. God forbid you exercise your right to bear arms and go down to the GOP or DNC and demand the shit they promised you during their campaign runs.

I respect anyone who exercises their right to withhold their vote from a busted system. Check out what Malcolm X said about withholding votes when we are ignored.
