Adrian Peterson is hosting a sale at his home where he will be selling his MVP trophy, Rookie of The Year, and other memorabilia. Peters is in DEBT!

Nigga selling his dirty drawers. Damn.

I want to know what grade level he reads on. The Black athlete often gets passed through school due to talent.

When the talent goes, nothing to fall back on. Parenting and a good start in life is everything.

Look at the difference between him and Grant Hill smh

Why would he keep all that stuff?

He already knows what he accomplished. Anyone who enters his house knows what he did. None of these awards mark the height of his life or the pinnacle of his career. It's just a bunch of engraved metal collecting dust.

As far as dirty draws, if someone offered you $50 for your dog-eared Hanes, would you turn it down? What if they offered $500 for your grown children's baby clothes?

FOH.

He doesn't WANT to sell his stuff.

He's doing it cause he's broke, and he's even disputing the terms of the sale because he clearly didn't get terms he wanted in writing.

Don't act like he's making a smart business move by doing this.

Garage sales don't say anything good or bad about your finances. It's just a way to get rid of stuff you don't need

I don't want that house and that shit....keep it.

These guys can't hold on to their money.....I'm sick of hearing about these millionaires losing it all

That dude been broke. His financial advisors stole his money back when he was playing with Minnesota.
He was in debt when he got suspended for that child abuse stuff.
It got worse he didn’t make no money when he was suspended and he had to pay back part of his signing bonus and he lost most of his endorsements also.
Thats why his ass wouldn’t stop playing.
Them teams knew he needed money that’s why they kept fucking him over at the end of his career.
Running for 100 yards one week, Redskins deactivate him the next.
Sean Payton yanking him in and out of the game.
I’m convinced they were trying to embarrass this dude.

Dang man this is crazy. I'm cool with a former NFL player. You be surprised how much money they actually spend a month.

A lot of these athletes are taking care of the "whole" family and some friends. Shit is good while you still playing but once the money stops coming in, that's a real game changer.

Also alot of athletes get advances that they have to pay back or unlimited credit cards. Some of these credit cards they give to family/friends and they rack up some shit.

Ain't no sports star selling their trophies like that if they don't need to, especially one that made as much money as Peterson. Either he's going broke or the IRS has popped him for some series back taxes.

Not true.

Current and former NHL superstars sell their trophies, big game sticks and jerseys, championship rings, etc all the time. Case in point Jaromir Jagr is worth $50 million and still sold his Art Ross trophy.

If we won these trophies we'd probably build a shrine or wear them around our neck if we could. To the folks who win them all the time it's like an employee of the month award.

Wayne Gretzky is far from broke, but we still have stories like this

I think we are seeing a shift though in more of the younger athletes being smart with their money.

Also, the NFL changed how athletes can get paid from just during the season to spreading their money throughout the year.
