Interesting news source, especially coming from you.
"CNSNews reports the stories the liberal media refuse to cover. Under the skillful editorial stewardship of long-time conservative writer and Pulitzer Prize nominee Terry Jeffrey, CNSNews has emerged as the conservative media’s lynchpin for original reporting and breaking news."
And one of the people mentioned in the article is Opal Tometi, a co-founder of Black Lives Matter. Notwithstanding the other problematic issues with BLM, I want you to watch and listen carefully to this interview with her. Tell me if anything stands out to you, especially in light of what ADOS talks about. I truly want to see if you catch it.
I emphasized "en masse" in my post. And you must be up there in age, because you're only talking about the 60s. Tell me something since 1980.
I could only remember the name of the UN group so when I did a search, that was just one of the more complete stories instead of a brief mention. I'm not vouching for the source in general, but what I read rang true of what I remembered so I posted it.
This is the UN site:
And these are the folks currently managing things:
There was also an international presence and observers from Amnesty International in Ferguson. It was folks from other countries teaching protesters how to deal with the tear gas. I'm not searching now, but I've posted in the past other groups and races who have stood with black folks, with links to their sites and announcements.
Regardless, I've also said in the past, when there is a common goal or a common enemy, you don't need to be friends and hang out in each other's houses to form an alliance to get things done. There is always going to be friction. No one is speaking well of everyone else. No group is without legitimate criticism, no group is innocent of casting petty dispersions on others. Even amongst ADOS we have colorism and classism. We don't like or trust each other, let alone outsiders. That's fine if folks want to focus on minutiae instead of the big picture, but too much division can also stop progress forward. There aren't going to be perfect relationships and alliances, but there can be ones good enough to get things done.
