Not enough games on regular tv. I gotta pay 199 just to watch the games. How can I get my son involved if he cant watch the sport except for the crumbs we lucky enough to see.

its not hard at all to comprehend; competition has nothing to do with nothing; the NFL has the same teams, for the most part, winning every year; Go look at how many teams have won a superbowl; the NFL ratings are up this year; and they usually go up every year; outside of a few blip years; its not about competition; its about the amount of games, when one is talking about ratings; thats it; if they really cared about ratings, they would cut the amount of games played period; if the NBA played only 20 games, ratings would be thru the roof, regardless of what player(s) was playing. Gambling would be even higher; the amount of games is all it is; are there other ancillary parts to it, sure; but those are small and non factors for the most part; games games games.....So I guess it's hard for you to comprehend what I'm saying?

outside the patriots most teams weren't guaranteed a playoff spot and most people who won super bowls didn't repeat... Outside of patriots nobody won back to back super bowls since the Broncos 2 decades ago... If patriots didn't cheat it prob wouldn't be repeat victories for them either...in fact since 2000 13 different teams have won the superbowl... I repeat since 2000 13 different teams won the superbowl... Out of those 13 only 4 teams won more than 1... 82 games is not a new thing.. It's been that way for 4 decades... People watch than.. We have way more tools to watch games now and have the ability to see more teams than ever b4 and nobodies watching... Why cause old school fans got tired of the one sided favoritism towards certain players and teams.. The new demographic that the NBA cater to only like certain players... Those certain players are either injured or fell off... Ratings down... Casual fans shouldn't been who the NBA was gunning to try to please... It's like a strip club trying to cater to a female crowd.. Man dudes kept the gentleman club alive and now you putting more energy trying to appease chicks.. Well when the dudes leave money go down.. See thats the thing; people didnt watch the NBA then like they do now; People starting watching the NBA during MJ years; thats when the ratings exploded; and yes the 82 games is nothing new, but everything is on TV now; there are more channels than ever; there is more streaming than ever; everything has changed; so sports, except the NFL, has to change if they care about how the current rating system is driven; otherwise, everything is just a mute point....
You're totally missing the point. Back in the day folks had no freaking choice but to sit and watch. Younger generation and folks who are tech savvy not sitting watching all the them games. Time is important to people and when you tech savvy you watch things the quickest way. Youtube highlights and other quick means of getting the game is what people like. Older generations like that sit there approach for a whole season. Just like last night Dallas was on. I got to the bar for the 4th quarter to watch because thats all that mattered. I kept up with the score on social media while I did other things.
