I don't support nor do I condemn Cosby. I simply don't know. I didn't follow the trial outside of the occasional news clip and "The Cos" has said some shit that I turn a side eye to in the past. He's also done some really great stuff for the black community and many colleges.1. Cosby admitted to drugging women with a sedative so potent that's it's been illegal for years now. That corroborates the MANY women who accused him of this for damn near 50 years.
2. Without a conspiracy to stand on, your defense of him falls flat, seeing how that's the ONLY way you can ignore women from different walks of life accusing him of the same behavior for damn near half a century. Not that the conspiracy made sense anyway since he was being accused of drugging and raping women way before the 80's or any talk of an NBC deal.
3. Black men get fucked over all the time. Cosby ain't one of 'em. And just because there isn't a tape doesn't mean there's nothing else to analyze.
4. Kathy Bates said what weallshould know to be true. But that doesn't mean that rapey ass dudes can do what they want without consequence. But again, that doesn't mean that women are absolved of their responsibility to make good decisions. Problem is, you can't enforce that responsibility legally because once a crime is committed against them, it outweighs the bad decision (for obvious reasons.)
I simply said, I saw no evidence.
And YES it is suspicious that a zillion women come out of the woodwork all at once. It doesn't matter how many "walks of life" they come from. There is a difference between an accuser and a victim. I just haven't fallen for the programming. The "believe women" slogan doesn't work on me like it does on you. I believe evidence.
He may have done everything they accuse him of and more. I don't know. He may also have only gotten high with them and fucked them and they have all been promised a payday at his expense. They civil suits alone will bankrupt him but he has a lot of money to go around. It ain't my problem but anybody who does that much dirt is most likely going to leave a trail somewhere. All I ever heard were tear-filled accusations.
As for "rapey ass dudes", no one is defending the Weinsteins of the world. We know they exist. There are levels to actions though, whether they are "legal" or not. Slapping a cop on the ass in a football locker room is not "legal" but it also ain't shit in the grand scheme of things. If someone touches you on your shoulder, technically, that's assault. If you sue them for doing it, you're just a greedy ass bitch looking for a come-up. Regret sex - same thing. Regret sex incidents are turning into rape cases left and right. It looks like everybody is looking for a reason to sue everybody else these days.
So, NO, I'm not taking anybody's word about shit. Prove or piss off. It has fuck all to do with Cosby.
