Actor, Wendell Pierce, best known for his roles in “Waiting To Exhale,” “The Wire,” and HBO’s “Treme” series, was very emotional earlier today while speaking about losing his Baton Rouge, La. home on yesterday (Sunday, 8-15-16) in the massive Louisiana flooding that has caused over 20,000 residents to be rescued from the rising waters in the past few days. Below you can see the emotional video of Pierce talking about his home…

WENDELL PIERCE: "I LOST EVERYTHING"

When TMZ caught up with Pierce today at the LAX airport, he could barely speak, he was so devastated, but he did manage to say this:"I don't know what I'll do," he said. "I just lost everything."It's Pierce's second time losing his home due to flooding, the first time was in Hurricane Katrina in 2005 when his New Orleans, La. childhood home was completely wiped out.

This is so sad and we're keeping everyone who has been impacted by the Louisiana floods in our thoughts and prayers. PIERCE POSTED TOUCHING MESSAGES SHORTLY AFTER LOSING HOME YESTERDAY>>>

IN MIDST OF LOSING EVERYTHING, PIERCE STILL CONSIDERS OTHERS IN NEED
Just hours after his home was destroyed in the floods, Pierce was devastated, but he still was gracious enough to consider the thousands of other Louisiana residents who also lost everything in the floods.

i feel bad for that dude... seems like one of the good ones.

Also all tmz guys have that annoying ass fake concerned voice when asking questions

Thats messed up.. but if it had have been me in the flood land, i would have considered building an elevated house... i have seen a few they were built to survive these kinds of floods if they came along again... still a very unfortunate situation...

I met that brother at the w hotel in DC back in 2010. good dude. i hope he's to replace his home and that his fam is safe.

he got money. that house was insured and he damn well better not put valuables or safes in a flooding zone house. He lost electronics, clothes, etc, but all that can be bought again and hopefully it was insured.
Black folks need to buy where rich white folks but in the bayou
