Most of BGOL won't care unless you show her tits. :dunno:

Aside, but I'm friends with her sister Merrin Dungey, who played Deac's wife on ""King of Queens". She is now Terry Crews' character's wife on "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" and has been a character actress on pretty much every Black TV show going back to "Martin".

The Obama model....hmmm, Neely Fuller talked about this. Yall notice how you're starting to see blacks being placed in prominent positions of traditionally white own establishments?

Or maybe they are realizing that having someone qualified not only protects the bottom line but protect the bottom line... Cash rules

So when they put in incompetent Cacs who run the companies into the ground they have no one to blame but themselves

Salute...

Her and Shonda got ABC disney on lock.

Is that a good thing though? I don't watch much TV outside of NBA and The Underground right now, but isn't Kerry Washington playing a negro bed wench for a married cac president? Seriously, correct me if I'm wrong.. Viola Davis with cac husband... how are her portrayal of Black men and Black relationships?

Abc the same channel that won't have a black bachelor. I wouldn't be celebrating yet, just because she is "black" doesn't mean she is actually "black"

You know something I hear you but it is VERY important to have Black people in these positions...

hell Shondra is essentially HER boss because of the work she been putting in carrying that network on her back.

Whatever you and I may think....all her shows do good numbers get a very desirable demographic BIG name advertisers and get great buzz especially in social media.

Her shows arent targeted for us but if I was in charge I would LOVE her because she is catering to a very specific group of viewers and BUYERS.

I feel like TV execs have some misguided thing about understanding and liking a show...

you do not NEED to get it, your AUDIENCE does.

And if they do?

we all get paid.

ABC explains Castle, Nashville cancellations

The cancellation of ABC’s Castle and Nashville were probably the two biggest surprises during a slew of tough fall decisions made by broadcasters last week.

Both veteran shows were expected to squeak into another pickup, yet neither are coming back.

So why were they axed, exactly?

ABC’s new entertainment president Channing Dungey didn’t offer much to reporters seeking clarity on the verdicts during a conference call Tuesday, but she did take a swing at an answer.

“In terms of the behind the scenes things that were happening on both Castle and Nashville, the studios in each case were looking for the best creative and financial ways to make room for a ninth season of Castle or a fifth season of Nashville,” she said. “They were definitely engaged in a bunch of conversations at the studio they felt would set them up for the best [chance] of success should they get the order. In terms of what we were discussing internally on the network side, it was [what was] best for the schedule and, obviously, looking at ratings, looking at our own planning and looking at some of the new development. A lot of those decisions really did come down to the wire, which is a difficult thing about these jobs. You have to weigh and measure a lot of different things. At the end of the day, it didn’t feel that — even though both Castle and Nashville were wonderful shows for us and good performers for a long time — that the future for us did not necessarily lie in those shows.”

I don't trust most Black people with a white spouse... too many wrapped up in that new Black thinking or "color doesn't matter" life

OH forget it...

not impressed....

I could easily make it in corporate america if I marry a becky,

and had half and halk kids,

or went fag and became a none threat...

somethings are not accomplishments as much as its playing by the

rules at any cost...

fuck the rules Id rather get a good nights sleep, and when all is said and done,

be able to look back at my life and be proud of the decisions I made and the stance I took...

i first remember seeing her on Alias.. as well as that WB/CW show called Summer Land(w/ Aunt Becky from Full House)

Like Sheryl Boone Isaac and the whole OSCARS Diversity Controversy, I wouldnt expect much from Dungey either. She's just there as a diversion from the usual. White society knows Black People are all about symbolism these days instead of true critical thinking, and action.

So don't expect anything from Dungey.

I am pissed "NASHVILLE" was cancelled though. I loved that show.

So what? Are there going to be more blacks working there besides her ? (not the janitors) are there going to be more black shows? more black leads? Roblox behind-the-scenes? production? editors ? Etc?
